The API is required by all applications to communicate with SDRplay hardware.
We support the API on a wide range of operating systems. If you need to download the API on it’s own, you’ll find download links at the bottom of this page.
The current API specification can be found here.
Please note that the only versions of the API we support are 3.x – If you require API 2.x, you will be able to find it in our legacy section, but we can’t provide any support for it.
Unless you need a specific version of the API, always select the latest available for your platform.
(Note: For Windows, API 3.11 is required for Windows 11 but will break API 2 functionality if you have API 2 installed)
