Re: RSPduo and other software

Hello Eric, The hardware is in no way affected by any software. The problem you describe sounds like some of the registry settings for HDSDR are in a bad state for the RSPduo. If you navigate to the directory where your ExtIO plugin was first installed, you will see a batch file called: delete_RSPdu...

Re: Protecting RSP from nearby transmitter

Hello Franko, Firstly, powering down an RSP will not prevent a RSP from being destroyed by excessive amounts of RF power in its input, so I am glad you do not see this as a preferable solution. As long as you physically disconnect your receiver antenna from each RSP, that will be sufficient. Actuall...

Re: SDRuno MW/FM Broadcast Notch

Hello Kevin, The RSPduo is the only other device that has a notch filter on the Hi-Z port and it is a completely different hardware design. The limitation with the RSP2 is hardware not software. The Hi-Z port has a completely different characteristic impedance and requires a totally different design...

Re: SDRuno S-Meter = S5 With No Antenna

See attachment for picture: Version -> 1.22.0.0 in Properties. I had downloaded version 1.23.1 I thought I had run the installer but looks like 1.22.0.0 is still operational. So, does that make a difference in what I am seeing? As far as the S-Meter and dbm meter they seem to be close in the values...

Re: SDRuno S-Meter = S5 With No Antenna

Hello Mark, If you look at the above posts from glovisol, he shows that the correct definition of S-meter levels changes as you transition from below 30 MHz to above 30 MHz, with S1 being -121 dBm below 30 MHz and S4 being -123 dBm above 30 MHz. The way SDRuno determines which values to use is by ch...

Re: SDRuno S-Meter = S5 With No Antenna

Hello Dick, Can post a picture of your Main Panel settings and your spectrum display? If you are not at maximum gain (minimum attenuation), you will see a higher noise level as SDRuno measures the total equivalent signal at the antenna, which includes the noise generated by the receiver itself. You ...

Re: Only disturbing signal with SDRPLAY 1

Hello Andre, I understand that you have a new USB cable, but unless the cable is well shielded, it will act and an antenna and couple external electrical noise into your unit. Good quality ferrites help considerably with this. Regarding readings on your S-meter, only SDRuno has a calibrated S-meter,...

Re: SDR Play crashes often

Hello David, This sounds like you have a bad USB cable or USB socket connection. What you describe occurs when the USB stream is interrupted by a momentary disconnection. Does the spectrum display freeze and the waterfall display become a series of vertical lines that never move in the x direction? ...

Re: New, happy user

Hello Max, You can easily customise your workspace in SDRuno so that it will only open the windows that you want. the multi-window architecture of SDRuno is a legacy from Studio 1 which is was the commercial SDR software from which SDRuno was developed. We will be re-designing the complete UI when w...

Re: Why 24mhz Reference

As this thread is already open, I have a few questions about this. Which Leo Bodnar model is best suited as there are 2 types on sale? Secondly, can the output from these devices be directly connected to the SDRplay or is there need for some attenuation or wave transformation (square to pure sinewa...
