Re: SDRUno Ready for Diversity RX With SDRDuo?

To handle diversity, it is necessary to be able to process two independent I/Q steams in a single instance of SDRuno or any other SDR software. Currently, this is not possible in SDRuno, HDSDR, SDR# or any of the mainstream SDR programs. We will be completely re-architecturing some of the key signal...

Re: Why are these SDRUno instances performing so differently?

Hello Franko, The dBm meter measures the total RF power (all signals plus noise) within the SP2 bandwidth. dBm is a standard definition for absolute power and is relative to 1mW, so 0 dBm = 1mW, +30 dBm = 1 watt, -30 dBm = 1uW and so on. All values are referred to the antenna connector on the RSP an...

Re: Beginner Questions

Hello, Beginner. A few very basic questions please, that I could not find in documentation. a. My understanding is that the RF Gain is (only) set by the RFATTEN slider. That there is no other RF Gain adj. True ? And that the slider has no effect if the the AGC is set to ON. Is this correct ? But, i...

Re: SDRuno on Linux

Hello Winston, I'm sorry, but SDRuno does not run under Linux. It is currently Windows only. For Linux, you will need to look at Cubic SDR or GQRX. Unfortunately, with Linux, very few applications can be simply installed and run like they can under Windows. It is often necessary to compile (build) t...

Re: RSP1A - RF Damaged?

Hello UT4NJ, If your RSP and transmitter co-exist on the same antenna, it most certainly WILL be damaged. The RF power will be dissipated in the BAV99 ESD protection diodes and such power density dissipated in SOT23 surface mount packages will melt them. If they are on separate antennas, whether dam...

Re: IARU Region 1 S-Meter Std Selection

Hello Ray,
As Roger pointed out, IARU region one specification changes the definition of s9 from -73 dBm to -93 dBm for VHF frequencies and greater. if you un-check this box, s9 will remain at -73 dBm for all frequencies.

Sincerely

Re: does v2.14 support the RSP1A?

Hello Roger, Are you referring to release 1.24 of SDRuno? I am not quite sure what you mean by v2.14. If you are referring to SDRuno release 1.24, then yes, the RSP1A does work with it, but there is an identified bug with the RF gain control at frequencies greater then 250 MHz. Sincerely Tech_Support
