Re: RSP1A - RF Damaged?

Hello UT4NJ, If your RSP and transmitter co-exist on the same antenna, it most certainly WILL be damaged. The RF power will be dissipated in the BAV99 ESD protection diodes and such power density dissipated in SOT23 surface mount packages will melt them. If they are on separate antennas, whether dam...

Re: IARU Region 1 S-Meter Std Selection

Hello Ray,
As Roger pointed out, IARU region one specification changes the definition of s9 from -73 dBm to -93 dBm for VHF frequencies and greater. if you un-check this box, s9 will remain at -73 dBm for all frequencies.

Re: does v2.14 support the RSP1A?

Hello Roger, Are you referring to release 1.24 of SDRuno? I am not quite sure what you mean by v2.14. If you are referring to SDRuno release 1.24, then yes, the RSP1A does work with it, but there is an identified bug with the RF gain control at frequencies greater then 250 MHz. Sincerely Tech_Support

Re: Speculation about future SDRplay products

Jon, Thank you for this post! I certainly respect your not pre-announcing products. My I ask about pending upgrades in an existing one, the RSPduo? The demo using Linrad with two tuners to change phasing of signals is certainly intriguing. You’ve just released the ExtIO so other software can access...

Re: RSPduo and other software

Hello Bluesheep, There seems to be a bit of confusion here. The two tuners in the RSPduo both run off a common reference clock and so if tuned to the same frequency, both tuners will be phase locked and I/Q streams are time aligned. However, because as things currently stand, the two tuners (to oper...

Re: RSPduo and other software

Hello Eric, The hardware is in no way affected by any software. The problem you describe sounds like some of the registry settings for HDSDR are in a bad state for the RSPduo. If you navigate to the directory where your ExtIO plugin was first installed, you will see a batch file called: delete_RSPdu...
