Re: CubicSDR v0.2.2 not seeing SDRplay v1

And again, thank you. Everything seems to work as expected.

An observation, --probe now takes > 10 seconds to complete, which fine but is a big change from previous versions.

Re: CubicSDR v0.2.2 not seeing SDRplay v1

It's the first time any one in this thread has mentioned a specific platform My apologies. Although I think that regular macOS rants by both @MiamiC70 and myself should have been a clue :-) The CubicSDR github repository is updated almost daily - it's not possible for us to keep totally up to date ...

Re: CubicSDR v0.2.2 not seeing SDRplay v1

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I am not asking for 'help'. I am a customer. If I wanted to be a developer I would go back to work. A major factor in my purchasing decision for the SDRPlay was that it had macOS support - as advertised by you. The developer who makes the *only* native macOS so...

Re: CubicSDR v0.2.2 not seeing SDRplay v1

I can confirm the behavior. CubicSDR v0.2.2-alpha can see the RSP1, but v0.2.2 does not. This is with lib version v0.6.0-g9cb32fa9.

It would be nice if Charles and the SDRPlay folks could put their heads together and solve this.

Re: RSP2 frustration on Mac

Personally i would gladly pay extra for something that would work natively on the Mac, guess for now we all have to wait. As I have said before, the great frustration for me is that every person I know involved with radio uses a Mac desktop, and we are all saddled with having to use Windows in a VM...

Re: No audio using RSP1 on MacOS Sierra

Do you have any feedback about MacOS Sierra and RSP1? I've been using the RSP1 and CubicSDR since this summer. Currently using Sierra (with the 1.95.2 API and the 0.2.0 build from the CubicSDR site). In order to get audio with CubicSDR you have to create at least one demodulator by clicking in the ...

Re: CubicSDR vs Console

Anyone else loaded up on both platforms? I tried all the various toys in a Windows VM, mostly just to verify that the hardware was in working order. I then switched to OS X native software (Cubic SDR, plus some command line tools) which I now use exclusively. I am frustrated by the lack of variety ...

Re: Mac users - CubicSDR

Why can't this thing just automatically check for updates like most software in the last 10 years :( ...because that's a security hole the size of a barn door? The first thing I do with any piece of software is to disable its ability to phone home. I do this in the software itself, if possible, and...

Re: Mac RFI

It's a sad situation, (radio) people write Windows software because people have Windows (or a virtual machine). People run Windows because that's where the radio software is. Taking a leaf from L. Ron Hubbard, we should realize that just because people will eat rats to keep from starving, it doesn't...
