Those multi turn loops have a drawback: parasitic capacitance.
It is very hard to get a decent tuning range with current variable capacitors.

Re: Ethernet
Only gigabit Ethernet is better than USB2 and the difference is not very big.
And if you have to use POE it gets complicated.

Re: Excessive CPU usage
I had this problem with windows 7 and many audio/video related software's. It is not related to SDRuno I tried a lot of tips from various sources with no effect. It seems that the problem mysteriously vanished and I don't know if it was due to an update from Microsoft or the installation of a softwa...

Re: PC (laptop) power induces significant noise
PC monitors or their cables can also produce interference A trick is to start a recording then switch off and disconnect everything from your PC : keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers , etc Then play back the recording. Of course for a laptop you are limited :) I also found that sometimes interference ...

Re: antenna seperation
This is a complex question there is no simple answer. It depends : On the transmitting power used On the directional properties of both antennas On the polarisation of the antennas On the presence of filters in front of the receiver to reduce the signal of the transmitter If you want to use both at ...

Re: Blew up antenna port A on my new RSP2. :(
On many DVBT dongles the diodes are directly connected to the RF input
So any DC on the coaxial kills them.
Bad design a small capacitor is needed.

Re: Choppy/Stuttering audio across platforms.
Hi 10MHz span is useful to search visually a wide band for activity but ,except for DVBT and DAB, it is always better to limit the span as much as possible when actually demodulating a particular signal. I have found that 1.5Mhz has 2 side notches that can be very useful to prevent overload by local...

I have it working with the help of a test file. But so far, no live reception.
Thanks!

Re: broadcast spurious in the LF band
Hi As the only build in filter in that range is a 12MHz low-pass it is normal. The solution is to use an external one. As the maximum bandwidth of the RSP1 is about 10MHz incorporating narrower filters would have : Destroyed this useful feature Increased the cost a lot. Deteriorated the flatness of ...

Re: Seeing spectrum of UHF (HDTV) Broadcast Band
There's not a lot to see with digital TV, just 'blocks' of what looks like noise. That is not true :) If the top of the noise is not flat it indicates either a badly oriented aerial with echoes or SFN or MFN interference. mystere.JPG Here you see the difference between channel 22 correctly received...
