The system that I use for my radio work is left on 24/7 as it also acts as a server for my network.
This means that my sdrplay is powered 24/7 as well.
Can I asume that this is ok?
If anything I would guess it might even be better?

I was thinking about this issue myself. I would think it should be possible to add two filters one high pass for VHF/UHF and one low pass for HF. These need not be complex. It should also be possible to build an arduino based relay that would remotely switch between the two. Have you tried using the...
