As I said I'm running a Chinese fanless micro PC with nothing on it apart from Win10 and SDR Uno. All unwanted processes shut down. Cannot do 10mhz at Dec. One but eight MHz ok.

Re: Best General Coverage Receiver I've ever owned!
I was a bit startled to see my eHam review pop up here Jon. I posted it to try to balance unnecessary negativity. Some users seem to expect instant gratification of all their requirements. Other users want to dive in with complex setups involving multiple software programs and expect SDRplay support...

There seems to be a software called "Spectrum Lab" which may be useful. Merry Christmas. Roy

Re: Using the RSP1 with a noise source aka Scalar Network Analyzer
Thanks very much for the additional information. I'm all fired up to try it! I've ordered a boxed noise source from Shenzen which I hope is OK. Will try it at 8 volts. Expecting delivery next month. The coupler you mention seems to be OK on 2m and up but as I'm mainly HF I'm looking for an Elecraft ...

Re: Brand new to SDR, SWL 20 years
Welcome to the growing band Adam. I've a few more years than you and my first receivers had glass things in them with a red glow inside. I suspect that, like me, starting on SDR is going to give you a very largish shock of the most pleasant nature. These things are extremely capable but it brings wi...

Wideband low noise antenna possibility
When the weather gets warmer I'm considering one of these:-

It seems to have good possibilities connected to an SDRplay. The 390 Ohm resistor can be a low wattage carbon.

Re: QRN (noise) reduction?
Hello Frank Noise is the modern plague for radio amateurs (I remember when it was TVI) My adventures into SDR and the SDRplay have convinced me that they work well at coping with noise and outperform older equipment of similar price levels by a large margin. I am using a Wellbrook magnetic loop as r...

Proposed upgrades to RSP1 no cancelled ??
As a recent purchaser of a new RSP1 I'm concerned that, with the release of the RSP2, the enhancements we have been hoping for E.g. metal case and additional filtering will vanish in the excitement.
