I am being helped by Steve at support-usa. I am having better success. The problem appears to have been a combination of antenna location, dead HF bands, and my unfamiliarity with setting the right gain balance. Am currently listening to Honolulu Radio VOLMET on 8828 kHz USB with good signal. FM bro...

I am definitely using a male SMA connector. And, I have checked for continuity and short.

New user having problems - can't hear!
Hello, I just received a brand new SDRplay RSP1 from HRO. I am in Hawaii. I have been able to set up CubicSDR on my iMac, and SDRuno on Windows 10. I can connect to the RSP and change settings. I have tried several antennas: a 1m long wire; a 3m long wire; a 10m long wire. I am using a SMA to SO239 ...
