Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

Steve, I made the changes to the DDS_tracking.h file and complied the sketch for an Arduino Mega and a AD9850 This is the confirmation from the serial monitor: Starting setup Pins set for Mega2560 DDS is AD9850 Setup complete I am sorry to report that there is still no output from the DDS. I again u...

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

Steve, I have checked the wiring against the pin info from Trackgen and it is correct. I also put the same pin numbers in the Arduino AD9850 test sketch and it works. The author of the test sketch said it was modified from an AD9851 sketch, so there must be some change required. I wasn't able to add...

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

Steve had said that he changed the default output frequency from 30hz to 1mhz. I ordered a package of two new DDS modules: AD9851 and AD9850.

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

Steve,

Thanks for all of your help with this, but it still doesn't work. I have only tested in on the Mega. I suspect it is some problem with the AD9850. I will order a 9851. I will be off the forum for at least the next month. When I get home I will start testing again with the AD9851.

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

Steve,

I just want to double check the pin numbering that you are using. Are you using the pin numbers on the Arduino headers? I am using the digital/PWM pins.

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

Steve, I can not detect any signal out of the AD9850. Trackgen is communicating with either the Uno or the Mega, depending on which software has been uploaded, but it appears Trackgen isn't communicating with the AD9850. Is there any feedback from the DDS? I notice when using the frequency related c...

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

Thanks Steve. I will look for a 30hz signal, and I will try running a sweep from the command line.

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

I fat fingered my typing of the DSS, it should have read AD9850.

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

i rewired the jumpers from the AD7850 to the Uno and reloaded the Uno software, using Xloader. This is what I get using the Arduino terminal: TrackGenPresent Trackgen V1.0 R:10 D:11 C:13 U:9 I then used the SPOTF=7000000 command, which should have generated a sine wave on sinewave pin2. All I see on...

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

I am having trouble getting Trackgen to communicate with the AD9850, I suspect that it may be pin numbering. I have tried both the Mega and Uno software. I have reset the pins multiple times. Currently I am running on a UNO with the following pin settings: Clk- 13, UD-9, Data -10, Reset 11. I was co...
