Re: Choppy/Stuttering audio across platforms.

Yep. The trouble is that this *is* a super whiz bang computer. Built from the ground up by me for just this purpose. SDRuno is using 16% of CPU power right now at 10 MHz, and 26% total PC CPU usage. And I still get the audio chopping. This is a StarTech (Renasys) 4 controller USB card on a PCIx8 slo...

Re: Choppy/Stuttering audio across platforms.

I've checked that and nothing over about 60% max, most are under 30%, some lower.

Re: Choppy/Stuttering audio across platforms.

Just as a follow-up, I did actually finally install this StarTech card - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HJZ ... detailpage. It's very nicely done and has a separate power feed from the PC power supply to feed the USB ports. I also picked up a nice little USB3 shielded cable that has a convenien...

Re: SDRuno suggestions...

I'd like to see SP2 show the actual frequencies as an option, not just the +/- frequency offset.

Re: Choppy/Stuttering audio across platforms.

[quote="dsalomon"]Here's the specific model I got: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HJZEA2S?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage. David, I take it that this card slows to USB2 and still works well with the rsp device. I'm having the stuttering on a very high end PC ...

Re: Best General Coverage Receiver I've ever owned!

Jon, I see you are running at t high bandwidth. At that 8 MHz width, what's the decimation you're able to use? I have a high end PC here, AMD-8 core at 4.1 GHz and lots of RAM and at anything over a 5 MHz bandwidth at a decimation on 1 I get some audio chuffing, though both waterfalls are very smoot...

First steps RSP2

I've been around receivers and radios for years, but just doing the first steps in understanding how to optimize the RSP2 and SDRuno. I have had the pleasure of using several of the RSP1 radios remotely and so I have a decent enough understanding about how to get started. But I have a few things I n...
