Re: Corruption of SAM SB audio

ADC overload is a function of the incoming signal strength, not the CPU load. The ADC sees all signals within the current bandwidth and the strongest signal must not exceed the maximum that the ADC can handle. If the ADC indicates overload, just reduce the incoming signal strength with the gain slid...

Re: Corruption of SAM SB audio

Histoically - thanks also for previous advice regarding getting myself an HF preselector - have it going, but only on Port A with the Wellbrook as although the Hi-Z Port works well with a longwire, I'm still unhappy with the loop's performance on it (and with the preselector - really problematic) -...

Re: SDRUno vs. Others

Well I will try to figure out why the audio is cutting out with Uno. I know I have more than enough computer for it. Try a different USB port for starters. Heck, try all of them ;) Depending on your motherboard, some may be faster than others. Also, some USB ports are grouped together on an interna...

Re: SDRUno vs. Others

Your apparent USB bandwidth issue aside, I find most modern SDR software is fairly comparable in its ability to receive, filter and demodulate. The difference is in configuration, layout and usability. In that respect, I find SDRUno to be well ahead of all the other SDR software I have tried. For me...

Re: Ideas for future Updates

Here's another suggestion.... add the ability for the meter to display input power level (dBm) and even SNR. I know input power is displayed as a number. But seeing it on a meter scale is easier to quickly assimilate.

Re: Workspaces and Updating to Ver. 1.22

Ver.1.22 works now but I am unable to change i.e. <Workspace 1> into another name. After right click on the name I can type the name I would like in the field but saving it with CTRL+W just bells once in the speaker and shows the workspace list. When leaving the appearing list it shows that "t...

Re: SDRuno 1.22 Released

Saving workspaces makes perfect sense once you understand how it works, but it can be a bit confusing to start..... CTRL-W merely opens the workspace save window, it does not actually save the workspace. To save the workspace, press CTRL-W, then click the desired workspace entry in the list where yo...

• Gain "pumping" issue when in gain mode Unfortunately, gain pumping is still very noticeable / objectionable with IF Gain set to AUTO and with strong intermittent signals (like CW) near the passband..... is that what was supposed to be fixed? The issue seems to be that when the IF gain c...

Re: AM Radio Crud - How to Eliminate?

How strong are the AM stations when you actually tune to them? Have you tried lowering the RF gain? Note that by default the "RF Gain" slider indicates RF gain reduction so UP is LOWER gain. Have you tried using the HiZ input for your doublet (might require a broadband balun) and activatin...

Re: Ideas for future Updates

I frequently find that I would like to return to a previously tuned frequency but this is not possible unless I either used the VFO A/B or the QMR functions..... both of which I need to activate before I tune away a frequency. So..... a very useful SDRUno feature would be a "history" funct...
