Re: Common Mode Choke Question

Robert: a) I have about 5 CM chokes that cover 300 khz to 14 mhz, each one is a different combination of ferrite core and turns of wire. IMO, one choke is not likely to offer much improvement over a broad frequency range. Winradio doesn't provide any performance data for their product. Robert, Some ...

Re: Scrolling "bands" on monitor

In the old days this was a symptom of a power supply filtering issue. Hard to say what it is today. If it's still under warranty get it replaced, doubt if it will heal itself.

Re: Digital Decoding Question ?

"and also some software pckage like SDRUno between the RSP-2 output and multipsk."
Because yours ears can't process the data coming out of the RSP2 and neither can Multipsk. The SDR software (SDRUno in this case) makes it possible for you and Multipsk to 'hear' it.

Re: Digital Decoding Question ?

*What I don't understand is why you need a virtual audio cable (VM), apparently,

This depends on your computer and the capabilities of its sound card.

Here is a link to some older versions. I have never tried any of these. If your willing to take the risk here they are:

Re: Errors when queuing output buffers

I got this same error yesterday. It happened when I switched users on my PC. I never logged out of the account that had SDRUno running. I simply switched users to the Admin account. When I logged off the Admin account and returned to the account that was running SDRUno I got this error. It's impossi...

Re: PA0RDT Antenna

I saw a significant increase in signals and a reduction in noise when the coax shield was connected to a good earth ground and an RF isolation transformer was installed. I believe the current version has the isolation transformer already installed.

Re: RSP2 AND SDRuno V1.3/1.31

No, it works on both versions. This is the primary reason I don't use 1.31: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4369

Re: Receive Antenna & Impedance "Matching"

SDROM, You never cease to amaze me. Increasing gain or adding attenuation does one of two things only: It either increases signal AND noise in the case of gain and reduces signal AND noise in the case of attenuation. There is a big advantage to maintaining a low noise floor but adding attenuation is...
