Re: Longwave Antenna Reception For Apartment

I'm reluctant to say this but I think there is very little you can do. E field antennas don't do well indoors. You might get some improvement with a mag loop antenna but not much, IMO. Any additional amplification will amplify both signal and noise, the signals will remain buried. You could try unpl...

Re: SDRplay RSP2PRO USB 3.0

I tried my RSP2 on a USB3.0 port and it worked. Others have reported problems. It may be a roll of the dice. I know this doesn't help. I have not seen any specifics on why it doesn't work. My main board has an Asmedia USB 3.0 controller. I have read that USB3.0 can generate RFI affecting the operati...

ultravista wrote: The RA0SMS produces noise approximately every 10 KHZ - the noise is present from LF all the way through HF. Re: re: having to reset to defaults on sdruno start up

In addition to the information Paul has provided, the memory warning will appear if any changes, even benign ones like a minor edit, are made to any of the memory banks. It's a welcome feature. In the past I have entered info into a memory bank and then lost my work because it was not saved. This wa...

Re: HDSDR and RSP1A not working properly after install.

Missiletech: Andy is trying to tell you that you are tuned to the wrong frequency. You should be tuned to 1440 KHz or 1.440 Mhz.

Re: Reception drops off after a few mintues?

It sounds like the problem is internal to the SDR.

Re: Reception drops off after a few mintues?

Maybe you have a flaky antenna connection?? What is the S-Meter value when this occurs? Does it change as the signal fades out? Note: the S-Meter value will decrease when you narrow the bandwidth.
