I did a similar rebuild of my rsp1, I found a 24Mhz tcxo on ebay and retrofitted it like in the attached pictures. I guess he is using a Vaisala RS92 weather sonde, they send them up all around the world a couple times a day and is just to track and go get them when they fall back down, google Radiosonde. I have moded one to, not tested yet tho.

I´l run 8Mhz bandwith on my Chuwi 8 Inch 1920*1200 , Intel Atom Z3736F Quad Core, 2.16GHz, 2GB DDR3 RAM + 32GB eMMC. it takes abut 85% of cpu power in max bandwith so I recomend backing of some to 4-5 Mhz to make it more cpu friendly :) http://www.geekbuying.com/item/CHUWI-Hi8-Dual-OS-Windows8-1-And...
