Re: Audio at the time

I have this problem with a laptop that has an under-powered CPU, and it sounds like that could be your problem too. If your Passmark rating here for your CPU is around 1000 or less you are likely to have the problem you describe (I'm not sure exactly what the cutoff number might be because my next l...

Re: SDRuno Issue today

One thing you can do is check and see in both SDRUno and HDSDR what the CPU load is for the program, and for the system overall. I also have had SDRUno stutter on a not-very-powerful computer whereas HDSDR because it uses less resources does just fine.

Re: SDRPlay Performance

Try running HDSDR for your software with the SDRPlay. It uses less CPU resources. If you have problems with it too, then you may need a more powerful computer but I don't really think that's the problem. HDSDR will show the CPU % used in running it, as well as system % utilization overall (note that...

Re: The aged question of which Computer

I have the computer you mention - it's a nifty little computer with good battery life and nice small size but not too small. But it's underpowered, with a Passmark score of under 1000 for the CPU, and "only" 2GB RAM. I use it mostly to listen to HF with the 1.5MHz IF bandwidth using HDSDR and it wor...

Re: SDRuno 1.03

Is the 1.03 installer supposed to erase all my workspace/window settings? Because it did. :|

Re: Problems with receiving Bands

You could try downloading HDSDR and trying it out, from this page: http://www.hdsdr.de/ HDSDR IMO is easier to set up and get running, and maybe just because I've used it longer, it's easier to find and see the settings. That would at least maybe narrow down the problem, is it some setting in SDRUno...

Re: SDRuno zoom

Well I read the manual and figured out how to save the windows positions hi hi. But it is a bit non-standard, CTRL key to save and then for other things the SPACE bar, not quite consistent. I guess I am too used to HDSDR and how it seems to me now to be quite straightforward...

Re: SDRuno zoom

When I use the zoom on SDRUno (and not nearly even to the extent you have it zoomed), for some reason I get stuttering of the audio on a Windows 10 laptop that works fine with HDSDR. I get about a half second of sound followed by a half second of silence, over and over as if the sound is being buffe...

Re: Minimum gain but still have images

By "gain set to minimum" what do you mean? Do you have a number for that?

Re: PC (laptop) power induces significant noise

I think you're already on the right track - it could be any combination of the three, or all of them. Trying to isolate them one at a time is about all you can do. If you have a small portable radio that receives SW and/or the AM BCB, you could tune it to some frequencies of interest and move around...
