Re: Ant. And Balun Questions For High Z Input, Please

Hi-Z Port 22 megs Hi-Zt.JPG It's nearly midnight, sunspots are at/near a minimum, one would expect 22 mhz would be dead at this hour. In fact it is. The Hi-Z port is mixing the AM broadcast band (530-1700khz) FYI 22565 is WBZ in Boston. What you are seeing is high order mixing and it generates spur...

Re: RSPDuo and two VAC streams

You need to bring up the EXW windows for both tuners. The AGC level should be at the default of 100. You will have to adjust this level and the volume control for your application. In Audacity 0 dB means that the A to D samples are at maximum before overload (i.e. the most significant bit is being a...

Re: Ant. And Balun Questions For High Z Input, Please

Confused a bit over the statement: "The High Z Port only has a low pass response" This means it passes all signals below 30 MHz. and not above that frequency. So, below about 1.5 MHz, the use of Ant A and Ant B inputs are NOT recommended. Fine, below 1.5 MHz it should be the High Z. But, ...

Re: Ant. And Balun Questions For High Z Input, Please

Bob, Here is a comment from RSP Tech support about the HiZ vs AntA ports on HF. Use of HiZ vs AntA on RSP2.PNG I have a couple of the NooElec baluns. They work quite well on the Hi-Z port and although not designed for LF (below 500 kHz) they do work OK. If you are an LF enthusiast you could wind you...

Re: Enhancement request for SDR Uno

SDRuno will track the radio and switch bands if you turn off LO Lock . Whenever you use the keypad in SDRuno to select a band it will set the sample rate, decimation and mode and turn on LO Lock. After that any command from the radio to change to a frequency outside the selected band will be ignored...

Re: Audio AGC questions

Ray, You are correct; there are two AGC loops in the RSP. The first is an IF AGC loop which ensures that the A to D converters (ADC) are getting the best signal level possible which does not cause ADC overflow. The output from the two ADC streams (I and Q) is then digitally downconverted to the freq...
