Re: SDRUno 1.2 issues

Hello SDRplay - Team, Concerning the calibration issue: The calibration value (here: -0,441 ppm) is stored in Main Settings "Crystal Calibration". The value is right and not changed by the bug. After "Stop" / "Play" the value is ignored. The status of "LO LOCK"...

Listen to meteors, the moon and satellites

The RSP2 is a very sensitive VHF-receiver. Using the signals of the GRAVES RADAR near Dijon (France) on 143.050 (CW BW=750 or more) you can easily receive the echoes from meteors or even the moon. I live about 450km away from the radar station and receive the signals with the RSP2 (GR:38dB, MW/FM-Fi...

Re: SDRUno 1.2 issues

Maybe another small bug:
The value of "Crystal Calibration" is ignored if you "Stop" and "Play" again.
The value is still there but you have to select the value and press "Enter". After that the calibration-value is effective again.

Re: HDSDR2 Waterfall screen noise with RSP2

Hello Glenn, Welcome to the world of EMC. Many devices especially those cheap ones coming from Asia do not fulfil the requirements of the EMC-directive (Europe) or FCC (USA). They produce to much noise on the power-lines, the power-lines radiate this noise and you hear the harmonics of the switching...

Re: PC (laptop) power induces significant noise

Hello Adrian, For me this transformer looks like a transformer for your doorbell. It is rather unusual to use this kind of transformers for LEDs. Transformers for doorbells often are simple transformers without any active component, they don't produce noise on the power lines. You should look for a ...

Re: PC (laptop) power induces significant noise

Hello Adrian, The problem you all have is nothing new - it is called EMC. Many devices especially those cheap ones coming from Asia do not fulfil the requirements of the EMC-directive (Europe) or FCC (USA). They produce to much noise on the power-lines, the power-lines radiate this noise and you hea...

Re: Blew up antenna port A on my new RSP2. :(

imho there are decoupling capacitors used for the inputs of RSP1/2. They are situated in front of the limiting diodes BAV99W of Port A and Port B so the diodes will not be destroyed by DC (but maybe by to much HF). The HiZ-Input does not seem to have capacitors in front of the diodes, they are conne...

Re: Antenna's

Hello, I use the RSP2pro with a Diskone on Port B and an active antenna (DX10) on Port HiZ and Port A. For HiZ I use a homebrew transformer 6:26 wdg on a BN73-202 binocular core. Port A of the RSP2pro and the input of the transformer are connected to the DX10 (behind the Bias-T) by a simple resistiv...

Re: Blew up antenna port A on my new RSP2. :(

Hello Jimbo,

imho the devices you mention are diodes like BAV99 (A7). They work as limiters.
If port B and HiZ is still working I would try to remove this diodes and make a test whether reception is possible.
The IC labelled 251 is a antenna switch. Hopefully you didn't blow that.

Re: SDRuno freezes

I have the same problem as wolfdd using "HDSDR with RSP2" rev. 2.76 . Sometimes when I switch between antenna "High Z" and antenna "A" using ExtIO HDSDR freezes. I have to stop and start again then everything works fine. Seems to be a little bug in the antenna-switching...
