Re: Unwanted signal on FM from a local station

Looks like it's not possible to edit my message and add a comment ... (still have the "2 polls" message).

Forgot to mention, I'm using a RSPduo + Uno 1.31 on a W10 desktop.
Yagi antenna and quality cable.

Unwanted signal on FM from a local station

Hi there ! Help needed ! On 88.1, I clearly get a "ghost signal" from a 100W transmitter, located about 1km from home (actual frequency : 103.9). Of course, I lowered the RF gain : No effect (no effect means : either I still hear the unwanted station or nothing at all) I set the IF AGC to ...

RSPduo and DAB decoding

Hi there,

Could you name some DAB decoders that support the RSPduo ?
I only know Qt-DAB but I suppose there are some other ones ... (welle.io does not, nothing mentionned about QIRX v2.0.1).

Thanks !

Re: IMPORTANT WHEN SCANNING VHF WITH SDRuno VER.1.3!

I was not talking about scanning here but only about the incidence of the notch during 'normal' listening. Thus, we agree on the fact that the loss can make a weak signal to disappear in this particular instance. We also agree on the fact that scanning is totally useless for tracking VOR, TACAN or I...

Re: IMPORTANT WHEN SCANNING VHF WITH SDRuno VER.1.3!

I'm using a ground plane designed for the airband and quality coax (15VATC sat cable and Aircell 7) The problems only occurs in the lower part of the airband (< 120 MHz) on weak signals. You're probably aware that not only "high flying aircraft" can be audible : VOR, TACAN ILS, towers, all...

Re: V1.3 Scanning Very Effective & Smooth

A question about the "Save to mem" option : will frequencies be saved to a new memory bank or to the one currently 'active' (selected) ?
Thanks.

Re: Ghost program on WFM - RSPduo

The other SDR is, at least, as sensitive. I suppose it better handles huge signals. Unfortunately, I have no attenuator on hand to improve my duo performance, bad luck. I thought I was doing something wrong with its settings. In any case, thanks for the advice. This is not a big issue, I can live wi...

Ghost program on WFM - RSPduo

Hi buddies, I have an issue when tuned to 88.1 FM (+ some other frequencies) where I hear a station actually transmitting on 103.9 (their 0.1 kW TX is about 1km from home, -31dBm). Switching from LIF to ZIF, using decimation, adjusting manually the AGC does not help. Lowering the RF Gain of course m...

Re: IMPORTANT WHEN SCANNING VHF WITH SDRuno VER.1.3!

The downside is that engaging the FM notch seriously deteriorates reception on the lower part of the airband (108 - 122 MHz).
In my case, increasing the RF Gain to compensate does not help for frequencies < 120 (the corresponding stations, usually weak, remain unaudible).

Stacking several windows : slight display issue

Hi ! I wanted to stack 3 or 4 rows of RX, AUX and MAIN SP in order to monitor several frequencies at the same time (the way I enjoy it) but it looks the S/N and the signal levels don't display properly then because of the small size of the corresponding window. Maybe something to improve for the nex...
