Re: IQ Correction

Try using the ExtIO plugin. The latest versions of SDR# don't work correctly as far as I/Q correction with the older custom plugin.

Cheers

Re: USB Isolator

No, your hub will have to support High Speed USB 2.0. To support 8 MHz sampling for both I and Q with 12 bits each, the USB rate will be close to 200 MBPS. The lowest sample rate is around 1.5 MHz, and this still requires around a USB throughput of around 36 MBPS

Re: New forum member with some questions

Hello Martin, I guess the SDRplay RSP is still a fairly new product. The RTL based dongles have certainly been around for several years now and so it isn't so surprising that there is a lot more information around for these devices. Regarding GNU Radio support, it looks as though this is coming very...

Re: Issue with AGC operation

Hi David, Can you say what band you were operating in? My own understanding is that the gain reduction figure is the total receiver gain reduction required by the AGC to achieve the necessary ADC set-point. i.e., it includes the gain reduction of the LNA. Ideally, this number would remain unchanged ...

Re: Driver fails to install - Windows 8.1

That's really weird! I installed it on my wife's Win 8.1 Acer PC without any problems. Do you know if you are using a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port. I read somewhere that there were some compatibility issues with USB 3.0 at one point. I don't believe the Mirics FlexiTV driver is compatible as it doesn't provi...

Re: Using SDR# to drive the SDRplay RSP

Hi Dave B, My big question for the SDRPlay team is - in the VHF bands is the pre-amplifier (U3) controlled by the AGC loop - or is it always on above 60 MHz? i.e do the internal LNA's n the tuner chip and the pre-amp get turned of when the Gain Reduction threshold f the LNA is reached. I asked SDR S...

Re: Using SDR# to drive the SDRplay RSP

Hi CaptainNemo, "750k in I"+ "750k in Q" is not clear to me. Would you like to say something more? Many thanks in advance!!! Maybe you can add some comments with reference to rsp schematics and components (pdf in sdrplay site) rather than to "I/Q data model". bye In Zero IF mode, the RF signal is mi...
