Re: Sdruno, IC 7300, MFJ1708 help

I gave up in the end and now use sdr software with better rig control. You have to pay for this sdr software after a 30 day trail period though.

Sdruno, IC 7300, MFJ1708 help

Having problems getting them working together. Completely lost now - is there a tutorial on this? Never actually seen the 7300 in synchronization with sdruno - is it possible? Much appreciated if someone can advise on this - many thanks.

Delta loop antenna - advice please...

Hi I'm planning on purchasing a delta loop horizontal hf antenna. My back yard has 50.8 meters maximum circumference in a rectangular shape. My question is will I be able to tune up to the 80 meter band with an atu and receive decent signals? Currently I'm using an end fed 40 meters long wire with 9...

Re: Ferrite and interference spikes?

The first image shows what it is now with usb connection relocated. The second image shows what it looked like with noisy usb. Note spikes..... http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y73/mikebrock/Capture_zpsevjdip3p.png http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y73/mikebrock/Capture2_zpsg7kjthtr.png

Re: Ferrite and interference spikes?

I have solved the problem - seems to have been a noisy usb port in my case. Simply changing the usb connection has completely removed those spikes. :D I will do a screenshot before and after later.

Re: Ferrite and interference spikes?

Yes indeed - it seems unpleasant to the eye rather than a hindrance to be honest. Though I wonder if a top end sdr like Flex radio would suffer such a problem? Thanks for the reply ... :D

Ferrite and interference spikes?

Hi - I get interference spikes at small regular intervals across the band scope - they show up as thin lines on the waterfall. I notch them out if they coincide with a signal I'm listening to. How can you get rid of them though? I have high density ferrite rings at various locations along the usb ca...
