Re: Ant switching bug still present?

Back home now and I've just tried it with the gain at full and it does not happen. Only at lower gain settings.

Re: Ant switching bug still present?

I haven't tried max gain as I have some strong MW sigs around here. I have to go out now, but when I come back I'll give it a whirl. Thanks.

Re: Ant switching bug still present?

Yes, 1.21. I've just re-checked and it does it without fail. 1. Start Uno 2. Select 2MHz SR and dec 8. 3. Enter 400 MHz and ANT A will auto select. 4. Click on '160m' button (at this stage sr and dec will change ) 5. Select Hi-z. At this point the spectrum and waterfall displays stop working. RF gai...

Ant switching bug still present?

I see we still have the 'freezing' when initially switching from Ant A to Hi-z. To replicate it, start Uno at a VHF frequency on ANT A, then move to a low frequency (2MHz in my case) then select Hi-z. Waterfall etc will lock up. Clicking 'stop' and then 'play' corrects it.

Re: SDRPlay2 wont work on SSB

Nicks suggestion is good. It doesn't even have to be anything exotic like WWV, a MW BC station would do. Up or down 1KHz (with suitable switching of USB or LSB) should produce a tone. If you get that, it's working.

Re: Question about HDSDR and rsp1 dbfs numbers

I haven't used HDSDR for ages so I can't help with those numbers, but the CLIP warning means you've got too much gain in the system and the ADC is hitting the stops.

Re: RSP2Pro BC band filter?

The RSP's are very sensitive and will easily match any other RX I have here. If you are using SDRUno software, make sure the AM/FM reject filter is OFF if you wish to listen to MW BC stations.
Just curious, what antenna and which antenna port are you using, as it may have a bearing on your problem?

Re: RSP2 issue

As far as I know, the A & B inputs are identical, the only difference being that B has a bias-T facility. I can't see that causing such a difference though. Have you tried using the Hi-z input for HF as recommended by the makers? I think it uses one less conversion so maybe it avoids the spurii....

Re: Tone hurts ears?

Is it a low-frequency tone (like a hum) or a high frequency whistle? If it's a low hum it may be the CTCSS access tone you are hearing. In SDRUno it goes like this: On the upper frame of the RX control panel you will see a button marked EXW. Click it and a new small window (called EX control I think...

Re: FSK

The tradition for commercial traffic (ie not amateur) is USB. Tune until the text appears and that will be the correct frequency.
