Hi,
Is Simon implementing automatic I/Q correction for the SDRPlay - or possible manual phase/amplitude setting to eliminated mirror images of strong signals?

LINK TO SDR# BUILD 1361 THAT WORKS
Hi, The following link has appeared on Airspy.com under "Recent Replies" / AirSpy and Windows XP http://www.qsl.net/4/4z4zq//sdrsharp/ This contains a zip file with all the SDR# files for build 1361. It would be a good idea to read what is covered under that topic which as a basic summary says that ...

Re: SDRPLAY DOES NOT WORK
I think the most important part of your post could be the date. If you have installed or updated SDR# and the build no is above 1361 then SDRPlay won't work with SDR# as the ExtIO interface is no longer supported and does not exist. You could always install HDSDR and see how you get on with that sof...

Re: SPDPlay Device Controller for Dummies
Not a recommendation as such - but try the following for VHF LNA gr = 59dB AGC off Overall gain reduction 57dB Leave the ADC set point at -15dB This will force the low noise amp at the front end - the one inside the mirics chip - on. If LNA gr is less than overall gr - the LNA chip is off. If you do...

Re: SDRPlay lost SDR#-support ?
Hi Paul, I can confirm ver 1.5 can be made to work with the newest SDR# - so we can expect to see a work-around for SDRplay quite quickly. The issue with ver 1.5 is that the automatica phase/amplitude correction doesn't work. So if you have strong stations they will produce annoying mirror signals t...

Re: SDR# End of support of the ExtIO interface?
What other software packages, apart from HDSDR support the ExtIO interface? And do any of these give 192kHz sample audio out to drive RDSSpy? I have posted to SDR# group asking if they would provide access to build 1361 for those who need the older version. There have been other posts from users of ...

Re: SDRPlay lost SDR#-support ?
There are two sides to the story - and whilst I have noticed how 'prickly' some of the SDR# team can be they have given good reasons for having to make the change - Windows 10 not supporting .NET 3.5 - so blame Microsoft. I quote from a post on their forum Moving to .NET 4.6 imposes many restriction...

Re: SDR# End of support of the ExtIO interface?
To all SDRPlay users. DO NOT UPDATE YOUR CURRENT SDR# INSTALLATION. Save a copy of your current folder to a backup device. Re-installation is simply a matter of copying the contents of the folder to another folder. I've got five instances of SDR# running. 1 x build 1336, 1 x build 1347, 2 x build 13...
Re: sdrplay
If you are an FM-DXer SDR sharp has more to offer as 1) when linked to RDSSpy via VAC the RDS sensitivity is better 2) there are high speed frequency scanners / activity loggers as plug-ins and various other performance enhancing plug-ins. The only way of deciding is to try both extensively. I've us...

Re: General SDR information
It would be really helpful if the SDRPlay would post some links for us to be able to peruse. I've got a copy of the RSBG Handbook with a section on SDR radio - but 8 years is a very long time in the development of SDRPlay. Meanwhile you might try to google "beginner guide to SDR" I get the same sort...
