Re: RSP2 with hardware frequency tuning wheel

I tried Griffin about 3 years ago - at that time I was not able to find SDR software, that supports Power Mate directly as a USB device (it should work even if the application is minimized, and so on). It was only possible to use it as a mouse emulation, and it was absolutely inconvenient - you need...

Fake stations on the spectrum

Hi all. I had previously SDRPlay1 and now I have SDRPlay2, both of them having the same problem - when you see and hear the station, there is absolutely no guaranty that it is really there. Right now I'm listening nice and strong stations on 5MHz: Spectrum1.jpg But the thing is, that this stations a...

Re: Is it makes sense to wait RSP2A?

Thanks, if the adc can really work on higher frequency, thats sounds good. You should put the better explanation on the product page, otherwise its really confusing.

When the RSP2A will come, I'll definitely buy it :)

Re: Is it makes sense to wait RSP2A?

Bullshil is claiming this device as "native 14bit", while using 12bit ADC.

User will get exactly the same dynamic range, as using the previous model with software enabled decimation. So, for my question "is it makes sense to upgrade RSP2 ...", the answer is "no".

Re: Is it makes sense to wait RSP2A?

Oh man, its not a Perseus and not a Winradio - its a marketing boolshit  https://www.rtl-sdr.com/a-review-of-the-sdrplay-rsp1a/ " The RSP1A uses the same ADC chip as the RSP1" Even if they unlocked decimation in a chip - the same effect can be obtained using decimation on a PC-side....

Is it makes sense to wait RSP2A?

Hi SDRPlay team, I'm pretty happy with my RSP2, especially for using HiZ input (its good for loop antennas). But RSP1A does not have it, and its a bit disappointing. So, the question is: is RSP2A with 3 antenna inputs is going to production, or there will be no such model? PS: 14bit and USB2.0 was c...

Re: Waterfall saving tool

Hi all.

Lots of improvements in code: IQ saving, timetable/batch mode, Raspberry Pi support.

Re: SoapySDDRPlay on Raspberry Pi - libusb error

I tested it again on the second RPi.

New Raspberry Pi3 - all works ok. Don't know yet why it does not work on RPi2 though. Maybe it makes sense to do clean install and rebuild all stuff again.

Re: SoapySDDRPlay on Raspberry Pi - libusb error

Thanks for the answer.
I'm using standard OS image on RPi2 (maybe RPi3 only supported?).

Will reinstall all and try again today evening.

Waterfall saving tool

Hi all, I finished a first version of the python application, that saving a waterfall in the file, so its easy to check whats going on the band. Command line: python3 wf2img.py --sdr=sdrplay --imagewidth=2048 --sr=8000000 --f=100000000 --average=32 --sdrgain="IFGR:40;RFGR:4" Result: FM ban...
