Re: SoapySDRPlay compile error on Unbuntu 14

This is for ARM 64 bit machines. You need the x86 version of the API/Driver as you are using an x86 processor, which is available via the Linux x86 tab.

Re: RSP2 Frequency is Incorrect

The RSP2 is fitted with a 0.5ppm TCXO and so it should be pretty accurate. Broadcast stations frequencies are not necessarily particularly accurate though, so I would double check against a known precision station such as WWV using the highest frequency that you can find. FWIW, it is perfectly possi...

Re: Couple of RSP2 Newbie Questions...

Hello Glenn, We do not recommend the use of ports A and B below about 1.5 MHz because there is a high-pass response which will lead to attenuation of the signals below this frequency. The roll-off is steeper on port B than on port A because of the influence of the bias-T circuitry on port B. You car...

Re: Using SDR# to drive the SDRplay RSP

Hello Ultravista,
The only way that you can use the RSP2 with SDR# is to use the ExtIO plugin and any release of SDR# that is release 1361 or earlier. You can obtain the ExtIO plugin from:

Re: SDRplay 2 TCXO PN and external locking

Hello Conrad, The TCXO has a phase noise spec of -130 dBc/Hz at a 1 kHz offset. It isn't clear what type of signals you are receiving but the phase noise of the reference clock will have little impact on the key parameters that affect reception of various kinds of signals, namely the overall phase j...

Re: SDRplay 2 TCXO PN and external locking

Hello Conrad, If you apply 0v DC to the reference input it switches from using the internal TCXO to the external clock. It is important that the clock is present and stable before the RSP2 is powered up as dynamically transitioning from one clock regime to another can cause glitches that leads to a ...

You can use two RSP2s on the same computer. What software are you trying to use?

Re: Rolled back to Uno 1.04 again

When you mention bandwidth choices, are you referring to IF bandwidth? If so, please check that you were not in Low IF mode as opposed to Zero IF mode. In Low IF mode, you have fewer choices of available IF bandwidth and that has always been the case. There has been no changes to the bandwidths avai...

Re: RSP1 susceptibility to a DC voltage on its input?

Hello Rob,
The RSP1 has an AC coupled input as shown here:

http://www.sdrplay.com/docs/SDRplay_RSP ... s_r2p3.pdf

You will not have problems applying a DC voltage to the RF input.
