HF preselector

For the sake of other "newbies, I thought that this illustration of the use of an HF preselector (suggested to me by a knowledgable contributor) may be helpful. From top-to-bottom... Images show AM breakthrough at a frequency of interest, firstly, with HF preselector used (no MW filter), second...

Re: Corruption of SAM SB audio

Thanks Paul That's very helpful, in that you find it equally good on Port A when compared to the HI-Z port, although I saccept that the latter is to be preffered by properly equipped VLF (at least) enthusiasts. Also your ADC overload comment is interesting, as this was a regular Wellbrook associated...

Re: SDRuno V1.22/V1.23 an observation

Hi Support I have revisited the same spectrum area (obviously at a different time of day - with more time available) and taken care to try different antenna choices. The strong AM signal breakthrough is still there on the same antenna (Wellbrook 1530LN), but considerably weaker on longwires and an a...

Re: SDRuno V1.22/V1.23 an observation

Addendum to my previous - only difference in settings - one in SAM & one in USB, but I do not believe that it significantly alters the effect shown.

SDRuno V1.22/V1.23 an observation

Having read comments so far, regarding the "maturity" of V1.23 and it's suitabilty to earlier RSP's, I have downloaded, installed and run V1.23 alongside V1.22 as a personal trial and for what it's worth, am including two screenshots, showing the same area of thespectrum using my RSP2 with...

Re: Corruption of SAM SB audio

Thanks yet again Andy. I'm pretty sure that in this case you are on the money. However, somehow or other, it's back to normal again, but I've also had all sorts of issues with the latest teration of Windows 10 (knocking them off one-at-a-time). Histoically - thanks also for previous advice regarding...

Corruption of SAM SB audio

Sadly, not a new problem for me as this has occured occasionally in the past and I have managed to "cure" it by fiddling with the SAM/HP filter settings menu, although quite how I have managed this is rather opaque, but always returning to SLOW mode. Gain/Gain reduction settings , volume a...

Crosscountry radio HF/LF preselector

Has anyone any experience of using this device with an RSP?
if so, or if anyone has an opinion as to it's potential use, any observations would be most welcome.

Re: New Member/User from Scotland.

Hi Steven I'll keep this as short as reasonable. You most likely know more about radio than I ever will. However, for what it's worth, the RSP2 annd SDRuno have been my introduction to SDR devices although I have now used others as well, together with SDR#, Console and HDSDR. For my purposes, SDRuno...

Re: New Member/User from Scotland.

Hi Steve Had you thought of posting an image of your workspace for the benefit of the knowledgeable (not me) on here to have a look at it when up and running when under load, as I believe that it may be helpful. I've got a cobbled together, heavily modified old Dell laptop (64bit - i5 - 8mHz ram and...
