Re: SDRUno instability

UPDATE: Yesterday I discovered that I had checked the LOCK FRACTIONAL RESAMPLER option some time ago when I was trying to get DMR to decode. I thought that the lock resampler option self-cancelled when the program was closed but I found it still checked so I guess not. I un-checked it and at least s...

Re: SDRUno instability

No, it happens on the host PC and I doubt it is a USB issue. For one thing, it occurs regardless of the sample rate... I can use anything between 2MHz and 10MHz with identical results. I connect to the host PC from my laptop via remote desktop. As I detailed in my OP, some of the issues occur both l...

SDRUno instability

I'd like some input here. I use SDRUno / RSP2 both locally and over my LAN with RDP. I am finding some minor instability used locally and more pronounced instability used remotely over my LAN with RDP. Host PC is an i7 / 8GB RAM / USB3 ports, running up to date Windows 10 x64. My RDP sessions run on...

Re: Liking SDRUno

I played around with it again yesterday and you are correct. The issue was my balun(s). I was using the little Nooelec 9:1 balun in reverse and it turns out it has a DC path from input to output that was messing with me. After I broke that AC coupled it, it worked a lot better. A second issue that I...

RSP2, HiZ input and the Nooelec 9:1 balun

I see in the "guide to using the HiZ port" the balun secion shows the little Nooelec 9:1 balun being used. When I tried that setup with a fan dipole, I had massive 60Hz modulating the incoming RF. This was assumed to be a grounding issue..... my antennas are bonded to the incoming power ground rod a...

Liking SDRUno

Been using the RSP2 and SDRUno for several weeks now and I have to say I am rather shocked at how good SDRUno is for a "free" program. I am well versed in receivers and SDR technology and I had no trouble setting it up and using it right out of the box. The only "out of box" issue was the residual L...

Re: How to set the bandspread to neatly match a given ham band

I can get close enough to the desired waterfall bandwidth that I want by simply using the zoom buttons. However, it would be HIGHLY desirable if this zoom level (and also the LO frequency) were stored along with the other items that are stored in the memory panel so they could be easily recalled. Paul
