Re: Request : Out of range warning

The upper 2GHz limit is the upper limit. The lower limit of 100kHz can be removed by adding a registry entry (make sure HDSDR isn't running)... \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\SDRplay\Settings Add a key called LowerFqLimit and set a value in kHz as your lower allowable limit. 0 should also work. Perform...

Re: SDRPLAY linux commandline tools?

For 16bit samples you will need to do 2 things... Firstly, the following lines will need to change from... for (i=0; i < samplesPerPacket; i++) { buffer[j++] = (unsigned char) (ibuf[i] >> 8); buffer[j++] = (unsigned char) (qbuf[i] >> 8); } to for (i=0; i < samplesPerPacket; i++) { buffer[j++] = ibuf...

Re: SDRPLAY linux commandline tools?

ok, I've modified rtl_sdr.c to work with the RSP. 16bits are right shifted to 8bits for compatibility. 16bit version is easy to do if needed. I don't have a way of validating the output so if it's wrong (may need +127 as well as right shifting for example), let me know how you are validating it and ...

Re: SDRPLAY linux commandline tools?

I thought you just wanted the IQ values. I'll take a look at rtl_sdr.c

Re: SDRPLAY linux commandline tools?

Please note the output is 16 bits, not 8 bits as per the RTL dongles.

You'll need to covert to 8 bits if you want a compatible format.

Re: SDRPLAY linux commandline tools?

Just a simple piece of code to take in frequency, sample rate, IF bandwidth and IF mode and then output raw IQ to stdout ./rawIQ > output_file use ./rawIQ -h to find out the input requirements. Run without any options the code has some built in defaults which you can change to suit if that's easier....

Re: rtl_tcp server

./sdrserver starts it in "daemon" mode, ./sdrserver -g will run it in the foreground. Someone asked for native gain support which I think means a gain lineup to be compatible with the RTL version. The RSP works with gain reduction (i.e. the amount of gain reduced from the maximum gain). It...

Re: SDRPLAY linux commandline tools?

Do you just want the raw IQ samples that come from the RSP?

That's easy enough to do with the API. Let me know if that's what you want and I'll post some example code.

Re: SDRPlay on Xubuntu No Joy

Hi, I can help you get the hardware part working. You need to get to a point where: SoapySDRUtil --probe=sdrplay runs without producing any errors. libusb -6 means that something else has claimed the USB port and is blocking access to the device. Later versions of Linux seem to be including an unoff...
