Re: Plug type for RSP2 clock I/O?

That's MCX, the same type of connector you find as antenna input on the cheap RTL dongles (which makes finding pigtails for it on e.g. Amazon a lot easier).

Re: No direct contact to SDRplay support.

Thanks for the statement. I want to apologize for all wrong assumptions I may have made. I just wanted to make clear that I did look around various places, and that lead me to the impression that you don't want to bother much with this forum. I'm glad that you see this a bit different than pr...

Re: SDRuno and DAB FM Digital Sidebands?

You can use SoDiRa... https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=de&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dsp4swls.de%2Fsodira%2Fsodira.html&sandbox=1 ...with the ExtIO .dlls for the RSP1+2 to decode DAB+. I recently tried that with the RSP2 and it works fine. Due to the program offerings on...

Re: HD radio on SDRPlay

American HD Radio is based on proprietary code, so it appears somewhat unlikely to me that decoding that will become available in our free SDR software packages anytime soon. AFAIK there is some reverse-engineering effort being made on Linux tho.

Re: how do u calibrate sdruno...

Click the Settings knob on SP1, then tick "Show F dial" to display tuner and LO frequency on the main spectrum. Now click on some place in the spectrum as if you want to tune to a station and watch the 2 frequency readouts while you're doing that. You should see how you tuned away from the...

Re: No direct contact to SDRplay support.

Well, thanks for that! Yes, like I said it was a FIY thing indeed, but today's ubiquitous difficulties with email delivery usually require an automatic reply (most companies do that) so the sender knows the message reached its destination. Imagine you read about a lack of response (for whatever reas...

Re: No direct contact to SDRplay support.

Hello? Seriously? No reaction to emails and in the forum? Do you wish I"d rather not try to contact you? Otherwise I could still try smoke signs and drumming but I"d like to know if it"s worthwhile to set my drums on fire. I just stumbled upon another bug suspect (switching antenna in...

Re: Sdrplay for Seti project.

That means it works pretty much like configuring HDSDR for the SDRplay RSPx in this regard, you can copy the ExtIO_SDRplay.dll (or ExtIO_SDRplay_RSP2.dll if you have an RSP2) into the SpectrumLab directory, then you can select that .DLL via the little browse button in the SpectrumLab Settings menu t...

Re: Sdrplay for Seti project.

I'm pretty sure SpectrumLab has something like that, it has a variety of export functions, e.g. http://www.qsl.net/dl4yhf/speclab/interpr.htm#export_proc although this all way over my head. But I just checked and it seems to accept direct input from both of the RSPx ExtIO .dlls, so you could use it ...

Re: RSP2pro vs cheap RTL ?

To expand on g1hbe's good point here: Of course you will only see the benefit of the lower noise level if you have a low noise level in your neighbourhood. There are probably a few ways to make the RSPx appear less sensitive, like overloading it to the point it turns deaf, or not utilizing the avail...
