Very good Bob! I was licensed as a teenager in the 70s and in those days us young boys (at least all of the ones which I knew) used hand-me-downs and whatever else we could scrounge to get on the air with :). I've used many ARC-5 TX & RX rigs, countless Collins, Drake, Heathkit, and others as we...

The SDRPlay RSPx can be used as a pretty good spectrum analyzer for testing purposes but I believe that it could be much better and could even compete with the Signal Hound USB-SA-44. The significant differences between the Signal Hound and the SDRPlay are mainly in the available software. If a dedi...
The SDRPlay should work well for this. But keep in mind also that your Python program will need to provide all of the signal demodulation and filtering as well as basic control.

It is a nice looking program but IMO really not any better than the others which are available to us. And I don't mind buying software if its something useful to me but for $50 USD I don't see any real gains here and it has a long way to go before full RSPx support.....
Yes, you sure can . I'm using HDSDR, SDRUno, & SDRSharp all on the same computer for different purposes and they all work fine. But of course you can use only one of them at a time.....
Not bashing SDRUno but I don't use it hardly at all because it seems that our SDRPlay folks - wonderful as they are - don't interact much here nor listen to feature requests for this software. Don't misunderstand, I'm grateful to these guys for bringing to us this nice program for free. But it reall...
I use an RSP1 along with several antennas here including an indoor magnetic loop and also a big (130ft.) double bazooka outside and SWL performance is very good. In the past, I have owned & used many receivers both high & low end and the RSP1 compares favorably with all of them when correctl...

Yup, SDR# v22.214.171.1240 does same thing here under Windows 7, no IF nor audio spectrum. Older version (1361) with older SDRPlay RSP DLL and spectrum zoom plugins works fine.....
