SDR Console with RSP-1 FT1000D panadapter

... area and I'm sure this topic has been covered in the past, but I couldn't find an answer. All I'm trying to do is use the FT1000D receiver as a panadapter. I'm not interested in controlling the rig via CAT, just want to display segments of the HF ham bands. The rig provides an I.F. output at ...

RSP2 as Panadapter on FTDX3000+HRD so they work together

I thought I'd just add this post for any new RSP2 owner who is looking to use it with their FDTX3000 as a panadapter AND keep using Ham Radio Deluxe (HRD) as I did. I needed the SDR software to easily integrate with HRD and the radio so all three would track with each other. ...

Re: SDR Play and Yaesu FTDX3000 panadapter

Protecting front-end on RSP2 with multiple antennas connected

... go inline with the single antenna I/O on my 7300 via a Rx/Tx auto-switch. That'll protect that input. This will give me a sub-receiver and better panadapter than Icom's remote software. Hopefully I can figure out rigcontrol so they follow each other. I want to use port B for reception primarily ...

Good news for Elecraft K3 users of RSP2

... a demo of how it might look on https://youtu.be/AwB-4OycS6o (The RSP1 has been supported for some months now and is proving to be very popular for Panadapter use)

Re: Audio latency when used as a panadapter/sub receiver

I can give that a try. I have a Asus Xonar U7 sound card that supports the ASIO driver, but it is back at my home which is 200 miles away. The next time I come back to my cabin I will bring that sound card along and give it a try.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Audio latency when used as a panadapter/sub receiver

You might look into using a low-latency ASIO audio driver. HDSDR should support that. I tried it once on an earlier version of HDSDR but never could get it to work (quite likely due to pilot error).

Re: Setting up as a Panadapter for TS590SG (HDSDR, VSPE, TRX-Manager and Logic9)

Follow the VSPE guide under "Device, Create" and choose "Splitter". Under "Virtual port" select COM7, under "Data source serial" select COM3 (which should be a "real" serial hardware COM port in your PC). When this emulation is running multiple prog...

Audio latency when used as a panadapter/sub receiver

I am using an RSP1 as a panadapter for my Elecraft K3. The If output of the K3 feeds in to the RSP1, and I am using HDSDR software. This combination works great as a visual panadapter for the K3. I would also like to use the sound card ...
