Re: Great experience with PAR Electronics EF-SWL
OK, I figured out that MultiPSK can decode DGPS stations. Here are a few grabs (I'm in southeast Florida; the furthest station in this set was from Tampa, I guess). One of the stations is listed only as "station 17". Not sure where that is. http://Noel.ProDigitalSoftware.com/ForumPosts/SDR/DGPS_1.pn...

Re: Great experience with PAR Electronics EF-SWL
I got to thinking... The CB band is up near 30 MHz, right? Not that I want to listen to any of that chatter, but I thought I'd tune around that area to see whether I'm receiving anything. Looks like a fair bit, and most CB transmitters aren't too powerful, so I guess the antenna actually is receivin...

Re: Great experience with PAR Electronics EF-SWL
Are these some of those beacons you were talking about?
I don't know how to decode them digitally yet.

Re: Great experience with PAR Electronics EF-SWL
Another anecdotal bit of into that implies my antenna is strongest up to about 15 MHz...
I just noticed that most of the stations I've added to my MEM. PANEL over the past 6 months are between roughly 500 kHz and 15 MHz.

Re: Great experience with PAR Electronics EF-SWL
I'll be happy to try to capture some data... I don't know how to decode NDB signals, not having done so before. If you'll let me know what software / decoding to use I'll give it a try. I do see some signals down in the VLF range right now. I'm getting some pretty strong lightning QRN - not surprisi...

Re: Great experience with PAR Electronics EF-SWL
The kit is simply a nice package, with good quality components. Yeah, it's just a wire and a balun and an SO-238 connector for coax. But it's a good wire, a nice box, and a quality connector. :) I haven't noticed a lack of signals at any particular set of frequencies... I pick up stuff all across th...

Re: Verifying Install?
Stick a wire in the antenna port. You should be able to pick up something.

What's This Minor Audio Distortion From?
From time to time I've tuned in the US time station WWV and noticed a little bit of distortion in the time announcement in the form of a "crackle". Specifically, it's on the word "hours", right on the first syllable. Here are some examples: http://Noel.ProDigitalSoftware.com/ForumPosts/SDR/Distorted...
