Re: CubicSDR working fine, Gqrx not so good.

I am running gqrx with the soapysdr (not the gr.osmosdr non free) driver and have seen this same behavior. gqrx sets the default bandwidth to 0 and expects that in this case the driver calculates the optimum bandwidth for the configured sample rate (I think that's a gnu-radio convention). With soapy...

Re: SoapySDDRPlay not working

Yes, all of our changes were pushed back into the main SoapySDRPlay github repository. Thanks a lot! It's working fine here with gnuradio and gqrx. The new gain setting is much better than the old one. The audio latency seems to be smaller now, but this is not confirmed by measurements yet. At leas...

Re: DC removal not working with API 2.09

The DC removal was working, but due to a problem in gqrx it could not be disabled. This is now fixed. But still the DC spike is much more visible than with API 1.97 and matching soapysdrplay. The spike is even worse with gain reduction at maximum. I attach 3 screen shots: 1. DC correction disabled 2...

DC removal not working with API 2.09

I am running gqrx on Ubuntu 16.04. After I updated to API 2.09 and newest SoapySDRPlay from github the DC correction does not work any more. I see a DC spike in the spectrum which was not the case with the API 1.97. If I enable DC removal in gqrx, I get the following output on the console: mir_sdr_S...

Re: SoapySDDRPlay not working

Just to make sure that I am working with the latest SoapySDRPlay: This commit in github cae555 Updates for API 2.09 including RSP1 and RSP2 contains all the work done by the sdrplay team? It's working for me (Ubuntu 16.04 and gqrx 2.6 + modifications) and I noticed the ppm correction is now implemen...

Re: daul band

Hi,

Simultaneous reception of 20m and 17m should basically work, since both bands are in the 5 MHz frequency range you get with 10 MHz sampling rate and LO set to 16 MHz.

I can not test with SDRUno since I am running Linux with gqrx. See attached screenshot.

SAQ Christmas Transmission with RSP1

I recorded the SAQ Christmas transmission on 17.2 kHz with my RSP 1. Antenna was a home made PA0RDT mini whip active antenna.

Re: High noise floor on RSP2??

Did you try to reduce the gain on the RSP? The RSP has a limited dynamic range and can be easily overdriven with a good broadband antenna if gain is set too high. In this case the noise floor increases dramatically. How to reduce the gain depends on the SDR software you are using. I am running gqrx ...

Re: Why so much delay?

Half a second is quite a lot of delay. I am using the SDRPlay on Linux, mostly with gqrx but I also tested CubicSDR. I also see quite a lot of delay and did some measurements (triggering a dual channel digital oscilloscope with the RF pulse at the SDRplay antenna input and looking at the demodulated...

Re: The new SDRPlay: RSP2

This is exciting news indeed. My concerns regarding the 1.5 MHz limitation on the coax ports have been discussed. My other concern is that there is no API support yet for the RSP2. This would be a show stopper for me since I am not running Windows. I hope the RSP2 will be supported in future API ver...
