Re: ADS-B questions (beginner)
I would recommend looking through our user guide... https://www.sdrplay.com/docs/SDRplay_ADS-B_User_Guide.pdf This explains how you can get the aircraft information into Virtual Radar Server software which you can then view on a map. The difference between interactive and non-interactive mode is tha...

Re: SDRPlay Crashing During Memory Scan
That is a known issue and has been fixed for the next release 1.32
If you avoid having non-numerical characters in the frequency field this won't be a problem.

Re: trying to reduce dc offset with low if modes, api differences
In the IQ stream, the centre will be at the beginning of the data, so I would check that you have the right number of points, etc. - I would also try other frequencies to see if you get the same result.

Re: trying to reduce dc offset with low if modes, api differences
There is always a DC spike, the IF mode determines where the spike appears. In Zero IF mode, the DC spike is at the LO frequency (0 Hz offset). Software is used to remove the spike which can also remove any signal at the LO frequency (which is why you need to apply an offset between the LO and VFO f...

Re: RSPA1 : Sampling rate vs Bandwidth
If you use the rule to make sure the IFBW is equal to or lower the final sample rate (after decimation), this will avoid any aliasing issues.

Re: RSPA1 : Sampling rate vs Bandwidth
The IF BW values are fixed to those that I listed for both Low IF and Zero IF mode. From a processing load perspective (as well as visual) it would make more sense to specify 2 MHz sample rate, decimation of 4 and a IFBW of 300 kHz this will give you a final sample rate of 500 kHz and only 100 kHz e...

Re: Frequency shift for LNB/Es'Hail
Maybe my misunderstanding, but there is no fault with the RSP product or the drivers. As long as the specified RF frequency to the RSP API is within the 1 kHz to 2 GHz range that we say on our datasheets, then the API and the RSP will function correctly. SDRuno is a free download, it's not part of o...

Re: Raspberry Pi4B
I have tried many SBCs and have them all working with RSPs... RPi3 - RPi4 Asus Tinkerboard Beaglebone Black Orange Pi Odroid C2 Odroid XU4 Pine64 etc. I got the 4GB version of the RPi4B and now have just put it in a case with a fan. CPU Temp is constant at 46deg (it was running closer to 80deg last ...

Re: Raspberry Pi4B
Yes had CubicSDR running this evening - looks like I can run up the sample rate higher than with RPi3B+, but only a quick look. Waiting for fan to arrive before being able to run proper comparative tests.
Looking good though. We'll put an image together when time permits.
Best regards,
Andy

Re: Diversity Demo in Xenia
We have been working hard on getting 1.32 released and after Dayton there were some changes that needed to be made to make the system more robust. The software has been with beta testers and we're working on the last few issues and hope to get it released asap. Yes, I was convinced with our early te...
