Re: The station name thing

Have you actually clicked the button on the main page of the ExtIO window?

If you don't actually click the button in the lower left hand corner of the main page above where it says:

SDRplay Ltd
Version 3.8 Build 0218

no pop out window will appear.

Sincerely

Re: SDRplay and Airprobe

Dear fe8769, I am a bit confused about your reference to the VTX3D card. We don't understand the relevance that this may have to the SDRplay RSP. If you are using the mirisdr driver, we should point out that this is an unofficial driver that was not developed by us or as far as we are aware by Miric...

Re: Spurious signals at low gain

Dear 13dka, The noise bumps you see at low gains are not actually a fault. They simply relate to the use of sigma-delta ADCs. These converters use a highly oversampled sigma-delta modulator to 'shape' quantisation noise from lower to higher frequencies. Decimation filtering is then used to increase ...

Re: Learning to use SDRplay for Inmarsat

Dear espam, I don't understand your comment. These questions ARE discussed on this forum as evidenced by the comments and inputs already contained in this thread. Jon was merely pointing out that there will be additional RSP users in the independent Facebook group. It is entirely your prerogative as...

Re: Low signal strength?

Dear Anders, it is hard to see the detail on your screen grab, but your IF gain slider appears to be at minimum gain. I suggest that you try the following setting as a starting point: AGC off IF gain reduction: 50 dB LNA On Zero IF mode IF bandwidth: 1.536 MHz If this doesn't help, please email: sup...

Re: images & co

Dear Captain Nemo, Can you let support (support@sdrplay.com) know what you primarily use the RSP for ((Bands of operation, signal types etc) and what application software you use (HDSDR etc) and we can look to see if there is a particular configuration for the RSP that will minimise image problems. ...

Re: SDRPlay Calibration with WWV

Dear kb0fhf, At the moment SDR Console does not support ppm correction (for errors in the Xtal frequency). We plan to incorporate this function within an update to the API, but it will require an update from Simon Brown to provide the appropriate calls from the software. A number of people have requ...

Re: I cant hear any station

Dear Sansfiliste, You don't say which software you are using, and without know this and seeing your settings, it is hard to know what your issue may be. The most common cause of receptions problems is an incorrect gain setting. Usually, people set it too high and this causes overload problems with t...

Re: RF Input ESD protection

The RSP has been designed to survive a typical ESD event and has been tested to over 8kV Human Body Model. The Human Body Model discharges a 100pF capacitor through a 1.5kohm series resistor. So, 90-100v is no problem whatsoever. What does matter is the series impedance of the energy source and the ...
