Would someone please give an explanation how best to adjust the controls in the MAIN "Channel Skew Adjustment" panel? I take it these are controls to adjust the I/Q channels but haven't been able to find an explanation on how to adjust them or what parameter(s) to monitor when making an adjustment. ...

Check that LO LOCK in the MAIN window is disabled (not highlighted). If LO LOCK is enabled, that will restrict VFO tuning to within the IF BW and centred on the LO frequency. Regarding CW ZAP, I haven't quite figured it out either but it does seem to snap the VFO to the strongest CW signal in the IFBW rather than the FILTER BW.
