Re: Using SDRplay RSP2 pro as panadapter w/Kenwood 830s
... for the great response to my question, I really appreciate your taking the time to provide a detailed example of how you are using the RSP2 as a panadapter. I will verify whether the IF out-1 has protection and take your recommendation of using 10 db attenuators. Now about the Kenwood TS-830s ...

... by the first IF crystal filter. Nevertheless, you can see signals several 100's of kHz. away from centre frequency so it's still useful as a panadapter. When transmitting, my 850's circuit does some muting/attenuation but you can still see a residual of the TX signal. It's much lower than ...

Re: Which SDRplay do I buy?
I would suggest that you purchase an RSP1A if you intend to use it mainly as a panadapter with your 991A. You will need an external SDR switch if you want to do this because the 991A does not have an IF output port. There are several manufacturers of SDR switches ...

Can't install drivers on WIN7 x64 machine
... Currently running a duo-core machine x86 machine with 4G RAM with no issues. I use VSPE to tie the Pegasus to SDR Console for a second receiver/panadapter. For some strange reason, the x64 machine will not properly install the RSP1A drivers. It recognizes the RSP1A when I plug in the USB cable, ...

Mouse in panadapter mode
Um... ah... searching archived messages, someone said we cannot mouse-click to tune transceiver and RSP1a together when in panadapter mode. Apparently we can do that when running the RSP1a as a stand-alone receiver, but not in panadapter mode. Is this STILL correct? If so, much the ...

Re: Convince me to stay with SDRPlay (or the opposite)
80-90% of my time i use the SDR as panadapter for my HF radio and i mainly explore the HF amateur bands. Occasionally i do a spectrum sweep, just for fun and just because i can. For your application I would recommend an RSP1A. It is a very ...
