Re: FLDIGI only partial waterfall.
Hello DanubeBCL, this is OT regarding SDRPlay, but I hope the message comes through anyway. I see you are receiving DDH47 on 147.3 kHz with fldigi. I have a problem with exactly this station. It is decoded with many errors or sometimes not at all. The signal quality is fine. The strange thing is tha...

Re: ubuntu 16.04: nothing works!
After finding and reading this thread, I tried connecting SDRPlay to a USB 3.0 port (USB 3.0 hub connected to a Transcend ExpressCard adapter) instead of the USB 2 ports I had been using and guess what, it worked perfectly! Interesting. I see exactly the same (see some posts above). What hardware a...

Re: ubuntu 16.04: nothing works!
But it if is an SoapySDR problem, why does it work for me, but only on USB 3.0 ports??
My setup is basically the same as Franco's, everything build from source with all sources from their respective git repos.
Ubuntu 16.04 is a fresh install, not an upgrade.

Re: ubuntu 16.04: nothing works!
Hello, I can support Franco's observations in the way that also for me nothing has changed with the new API. On my notebook HP Elitebook 8560p, sdrplay is working with two of the 4 USB ports. According to the notebook manual, the working ports are USB 3.0 ports. On the other port sdrplay crashes har...

API 1.54 on Linux - some questions
Hello, I just installed the new API 1.94 on Ubuntu 16.04. I am running gqrx with gnuradio / gr-osmosdr / SoapySDR / SoapySDRPlay, all compiled from source using the source from the git repositories. Gqrx is running, so the new API seems to be working. But I have some questions: 1. How to tell which ...

Re: "birdies"... how to minimize them
On what frequencies do you see them? I am using SDRplay mostly on HF (up to 30 MHz) have no problems.
I read some people had a bit of success with a RF choke on the USB connection (some turns of the USB cable through a large ferrite core)

Re: ubuntu 16.04: nothing works!
Hi Morbus, Sdrplay does not work on Linux with gqrx out of the box. Reason is that sdrplay's driver is not free software. You have several choices, all of them with quite a lot of manual work and building packages from source. 1. gqrx: 1.1 Build osmosdr with non free support. See http://sdr.osmocom....

Re: TS590s SDR Play Combo
If I understand it correctly, the switch box is more or less a relay box that switches the antenna between the transceiver and an external receiver. I have a similar setup to connect my old R4C RX to my FT250 TRX. So if you want to be able to receive with the TS590S and the SDRPlay at the same time,...
