Re: HF preselector performance
I have to be careful how I word this to try to avoid misunderstanding, but here goes... Does the use of an HF preselector when radio reception is worse than usual increase the preselector's normal DB loss above it's norm? Put a differnet way - If under normal reception conditions this loss is only ...

Re: How to center active frequency in spectrum?
Just as Noel replied.
Additionally, if your spectrum display is "zoomed," clicking the vfo tab on the SP1 will centre the frequencu tuned.

SCHEDULED RECORDING
I am operating an RSP2 running V1.23 (that works well for me - as far as I am aware). I have not been able to use the scheduled recording feature successfully. I have tried to schedule recordings by calling up the Recording Panel, setting start and stop times and "engaging the timer." This has not w...
Re: Carriers
Thanks Mike Understand about BFO's (I think). In the past, I have demodulated sidebands by tuning the BFO. So I suppose the question I should be asking is if the signal is present, why doesn't a receiver process it? If the answer is at a REALLY technical level, I'll simply accept that it happens and...

Re: RSP2 Connector: What Is It ?
Hi Robert The cable that you require is a usb A to B (the type used to connect most printers). It is reall imortant to buy a quality cable with ferrite chokes to help reduce RFI. There are some available on Amazon at a reasonable price - see: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tripp-Lite-U023-006-Ferrite-Chok...
Carriers
Could anyone tell me, or explain (in very simple terms) please, why it is possible to receive and demodulate either or both of the sidebands of an NDB transmission, when there is often no carrier to be observed whilst it is, presumably, the more powerful signal. Given that these are generally quite ...
