Re: HF preselector performance

I have to be careful how I word this to try to avoid misunderstanding, but here goes... Does the use of an HF preselector when radio reception is worse than usual increase the preselector's normal DB loss above it's norm? Put a differnet way - If under normal reception conditions this loss is only ...

I have tried to schedule recordings by calling up the Recording Panel, setting start and stop times and "engaging the timer." This has not w...

Re: RSP2 Connector: What Is It ?

Hi Robert The cable that you require is a usb A to B (the type used to connect most printers). It is reall imortant to buy a quality cable with ferrite chokes to help reduce RFI. There are some available on Amazon at a reasonable price - see: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tripp-Lite-U023-006-Ferrite-Chok...

Carriers

Could anyone tell me, or explain (in very simple terms) please, why it is possible to receive and demodulate either or both of the sidebands of an NDB transmission, when there is often no carrier to be observed whilst it is, presumably, the more powerful signal. Given that these are generally quite ...
