Re: HRIT and LRIT Geostationary Weather Satellite Image Reception
The intent of the article was to show a viable example applying slightly modified or off-the-shelf components, allowing for both HRIT/LRIT as well as HRPT operation, knowing that there would be some tradeoffs. Keep in mind that the proof of the quality of operation is in the results. The images post...

Re: Using RSP Pro 2 for CW RTTY decoding?
Frank, Work on getting the audio going with FLDigi. You may or may not need separate loop back audio software, depending on your PC and compatibility with existing features of FLDigi. Refer to the FLDigi sound card configuration for FLDigi here: http://w1hkj.com/FldigiHelp-3.21/html/sound_card_confi...

Re: Using RSP Pro 2 for CW RTTY decoding?
Frank, If the tutorial here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_o4ZDemFQA was not enough to get you going, then you may want to go through tutorials on operating the RSP2 as well as tutorials on initially setting up FLDigi. Many examples of various SDR operations that you find on the Internet assume t...

Re: HRIT and LRIT Geostationary Weather Satellite Image Reception
Be sure to check NOAA operation schedules for GOES 13, 14, 15, 16, and newer GOES (and other LRIT/HRIT capable) satellites as these are launched. As of the past week, GOES 16 has been moved to a new position effectively replacing operation for GOES 13. Here is an image from GOES 16 in its new positi...

Re: RSP2 and Weather Balloon Tracking and Data Reception - NOAA SkySonde
While the LMS-6 is not on the list for what this SondeMonitor software will support, it does appear to support quite a few types of radiosondes. Hopefully the developers will add the LMS-6 at some point. https://www.coaa.co.uk/sondemonitor.htm

Re: RSP2 for radio astronomy
Hi Volker (aka Pulsar). Your goal should be well achievable with a good quality LNA and the RSP2. Your 4.8m parabolic dish antenna has the strong potential to allow you to achieve your radio astronomy goals and additionally work with even more applications. Some very good software for radio astronom...
