Re: Longwire antenna question
Probably not very helpful to you. I am UK base, but the psu was bought in Germany some time ago. It is a MW911GS IC1200 STABLE 3/6/9/12V 1200MA - never measured it's output, but has worked satisfactorily. It is on the 12V setting and I am in no way tempted to try a lower voltage setting as it may ca...

Re: Longwire antenna question
Hi I am in a rural location. The RA0SMS is set atop a metal base plate (http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/ptm-s-bracket-for-mobile-antenna-mounting-with-so239-fitting-r73hf?cmpid=ppc:gadgets_toys___hobbies:pla:google&gclid=COKR2s3D99MCFaSw7QodUZcHPg,) which provides something of a ground plane, mounted at t...

Re: Longwire antenna question
Hi there For the past few days, it would appear that there is an issue with very poor HF signal propagation conditions, at least in my part of the world and if I were just making my initial antenna connections, I would not be in a rush to change them until you have had an opportunity to check on thi...

Re: sdruno recording
Further to my last, I have found that that defaulting to recording the LO frequency only results in the effect mentioned in my last when trying to play the recording back outside of SDRUno, or having left and returned to the programme.

sdruno recording
Unfortunately, using the record function in SDRUno causes any recording that I make default to recording the LO frequency - OK I suppose as long as the tuned frequency and LO are the same. However, whilst it is possible to notch out the LO spike in some ssb signals, the LO may not in any case coinci...
Re: SDRSHARP
The SDRplay support team are naturally constrained in answering queries about the use of the SDR# app with the RSP2, which is quite understandable. However, try as I might, I am unable to get the SDR# Rev. 1361/1331 to open the api or recognise the RSP .dlls. May I ask if any of this community have ...

Re: Erratic RF Gain control
From my very strictly non-technical aspect - yes, it does seem to be rather random, not behaving in a "linear" fashion - each step in either direction being inconsistent. There may of course be an explanation that is beyond my very limited knowledge. I have simply settled for whatever setting gives ...

Re: sdruno/sdrplay/laptops
Well,,tried about everything now - RSP2 "running like a train" on older laptop, but on he newer Dell E6420 with SSD really quick!) after trying all manner of fixes, I have found that it will recognise and run the receiver via Extio in SDRPlay. However, this of course is not the answer and on attempt...
