Re: The Hi-Z connection

Hi Andy If that's "stalking," please carry on. I (hope that) I'm learning all the time and will, of course, try the direct connection as you suggest and just for the record, the indoor hula-loop works just fine (within it's capability) on the Hi-Z also, via pig-tail with balun and seems surprisingly...

The Hi-Z connection

I have an RSP2, with a long-wire antenna, an H/V/UHF discone, an active mini-whip and an ALA-1530LN (plus a cobbled-together hula-loop and a “legacy” Rfsystems EMF antenna, played with now and again). An “upstream” mechanical selector allows for a fair bit of flexibility. I do have a problem concern...

Another "silly" question

Foar a SWL, apart from technological advances in the new RSPDuo, iare there any great advantages to having two tuners in one package, rather than two sepaarate RSP2/pros?

Easy to overlook but -
Have you "MCTR" deselected in the RX control panel?

In the interest of extending my paltry knowledge base

From a low starting point, I wold like to understand a few things, but starting with just one - When tuned to any particular area of the RF spectrum using the RSP, I often observe what appear to be sporadic/intermittent apparent surges in signal strength. Increasing attenuation to it's maximum usual...

Re: SDR Play image work with RTL USB dongle ?

Sorry about your misfortune, but you have at least survived to tell the tale. This video illustrates the setting up of SDRuno on a raspberry Pi. Personally, I use an elderly much-modified dell laptop and windows 10 for this purpose. Although a conviced iMac user and a linux dabbler, I believe this p...

Re: SDR Play image work with RTL USB dongle ?

I believe that the SDRuno EXTIO version should work for you. However, I think that you will find that it may lack some of the features of the "complete" version, which is a fantastic programme, but I may be wrong. I don't know whether you are aware, but I believe that a scanning version of SDRuno sh...

Re: RA0SMS Miniwhip bad performance on SDRPlay

As a one-time user of this antenna, may I offer some personal experience. Firstly, may I say that Heinrich and Andy have been really helpful to me when starting out (and I am a tchnical numpty - you're obviously streets ahead of me). 1. My initial mounting for this antenna(SO-239 version) was on an ...

Thank yo Mike
Probably as I feared.
Rather nervous about rolling back V1803 (mine was instlleded more than 10 days ago - the magic figure) and Haven't yet found a way around this otherwise yet.
