Multiple RSP devices work (I regularly test 3 at the same time just fine on Windows) - you access them in the order that they are connected to the bus. You are right, the number of samples per packet does vary slightly depending on how the RSP is configured, but the EXTIO plugin always buffers the data as per the EXTIO interface requirements.

The hardware is identical except for the case and the RF connector. All of the performance improvements have been in software.
