Re: SDR PLay RSP2 Characteristics
It is possible to record the entire I/Q spectrum directly to the HDD of a PC using SDRuno. It is also possible to completely turn off the tuner AGC and adjust the RF and IF gain manually. The maximum sample rate is 10 MHz and the minimum sample rate without decimation is 2 MHz. Lower sample rates ca...

Re: Resampling
Hello n2ic, Higher levels of decimation were originally introduced to allow the framing of specific bands in SDRuno. This is achieved by setting specific combinations of sample rate and decimation and is currently only achievable in Zero IF mode, because it is only in ZIF mode that it is possible to...

Re: RSP2 interference
Open up the ExtIO hardware control window. then under the IF Amplifier section, select Low IF as the mode instead of Zero IF. You can then pick an IF bandwidth of up to 1.536 MHz.

Re: RSP2 interference
What you describe is an artefact of the zero IF or direct conversion receiver. It occurs as a result of two mechanisms. This first is leakage of the LO into the RF path and self mixing to create a product at DC in the analog I/Q paths. The second is DC offsets in the analog stages of the I/Q paths t...
Re: SETTINGS
To set Zero IF mode (ZIF) if you are not already in ZIF mode, select the settings on the Main Panel (SETT button) In the Input tab, you will see the IF mode setting near the bottom. Select Zero IF. Above that setting, you will see Input Level Display. Set that to Gain. On the Main panel with the RSP...

Re: VFO & LO for dummies
Hello Noel,
The RBW is a function of the frequency span and the size of the FFT. We are going to look at maintaining the FFT size as a stored setting in a future release of SDRuno as other people have also requested this feature.

Re: VFO & LO for dummies
Hello Paul, There should be no difference in signal power between Low IF and Zero IF modes. One thing to be aware of though is that the IF bandwidth will be different. So for example, if you have set your sample rate to 8 MHz in zero IF mode and your LO to 4 MHz, the spectrum between 0 and 8 MHz wil...

Re: VFO & LO for dummies
Hello folks, Apart from the lack of a DC spike, there are no fundamental advantages of LIF over ZIF. There is no difference in noise performance or overload performance. The differences that Mike2459 at LF are all caused by the different frequency plan that is used in LIF mode where the synthesizer ...

Re: SDRuno 1.23 with hackrf one
Unfortunately, we don't even have sufficient resource to cover our current backlog of development work in a reasonable time frame. We would like to get around to enhancing the ExtIO version, but it is not easy as there has been a major branch in the code base and many of the features of the RSP vers...

Re: SDRuno 1.23 with hackrf one
Hello paddel57,
The maximum sample rate supported in the ExtIO version of SDRuno is 2.5 MS/s. RDS is also not supported.
In the RSP version of SDRuno. DC offset compensation is implemented in the API which you will not be using with the HackRF.
