Re: RSP1a only noise

If you could post a picture of your screen we may be able to spot the problem.

Re: SP1 Waterfall flowing up

I think you must have ticked the 'WF reverse' box. To correct it, click the SETT button which is top left on the MAIN SP frame. In the box that appears, you'll find the check-box at the bottom right.

Re: actual picture de-coded

No, not in its supplied form. It will receive the signals of course, but any decoding of signals has to be done by additional software, some of which is downloadable from the 'net.

Re: RSPduo Bias-T

It's worth checking to see if the voltage is appearing at the tuner 1 port instead. The rsp2 suffered from swapped-over ports a few months ago and it caused great confusion!

Re: Sweep width availability

Quote from the 'feedback' thread:

'As mentioned in the release notes, due to problems with the sweep system, sweep widths of less than 10KHz, and greater than 10MHz have been disabled. This issue will have been resolved for the next release. '

Re: Feedback for version 0.9a here

Thanks for a very interesting piece of software. On a rather cursory look at it yesterday I noticed some thing odd. I normally use a Signal Hound SA-44b analyser, so I did a comparison with that. With the CF set to 3.0 MHz and a signal on 3.01 MHz at -40dBm, the SH shows a peak as expected at 3.01 M...

Re: How can I set the zoom on Main SP

It sounds like you have an antenna or coax problem - are you sure all connections are good (no shorts etc)? Check also the sma plug to make sure it has a centre pin. The only other thing that may cause poor reception is incorrect setting of the gain slider. If you are using the RSP2, check you have ...

Re: How can I set the zoom on Main SP

To see max bandwidth, select 10 MHz sample rate and decimation 1. This will give you the RSP's maximum bandwidth of 10 MHz. Both these settings are found in the small MAIN window. Then just check that you are zoomed right out by clicking the < ZOOM button at the bottom of the big MAIN SP window. You...

Re: RSP2 with ALA1530 Antenna

Hi. I have had a 1530 and then the 1530LN for years and I swear by them, but connecting the 50-ohm coax output from the interface box to the green connection block causes much confusion among enthusiasts. The first thing to realise is that a mismatch of 50r to 1k is not that serious and any loss inc...

Re: When will we see support for 14 bits in RSP2?

Don't quote me, but I think that in order to be able to free-up the extra bits, a small hardware change was necessary.
