Re: Gain Reduces When Centering Signals In HF
I can confirm the issue. VFO and FREQ are separated by 80khz. I monitored an unmodulated carrier 1460khz with zoom all the way out which put the signal at the right 1/3 of the screen. Mouse pointer at the very top of the signal spike and numeric display on the left of the main screen matched at -50d...

Re: Update SDRuno issue
I have an RSP1 and running 1.22 Is there anything to be gained by installing 1.23 or 1.24 I haven't been on these forums much lately and from what I have read it doesn't seem so. Have we been forgotten? When I bought my unit a little over a year ago there were a lot of suggestions from users for upd...

Re: SDRuno: best settings for AIS decoding?
I am receiving small blips at those 2 frequencies so I assume those are the AIS signals. I'm about 7 miles west and uphill from the Lake Michigan shoreline in Milwaukee with a 2 meter antenna at the top of my 40 foot tower. So I'm probably set up for good reception. What type of messages are you dec...

Thanks. My fault for not scrolling far enough. I didn't realize there were 2 charts.

Re: SDRuno S-Meter = S5 With No Antenna
Odd. I wanted to duplicate my above observation. Without changing any settings I shut down SDRuno and started it back up. This time the jump in s units from 0-4 happens right at 30 mhz. IIRC that is where a new front end filter gets switched in. Could the s meter jump be related to that? My noise fl...

Re: SDRuno S-Meter = S5 With No Antenna
With RSP1 and SDRuno 1.22 In my case with the same 50 ohm terminated antenna connector my s meter reading is fine until I get to 29.914 mhz and LO at 29.00mhz. At that point the s-meter will jump up a few s units. How much it jumps up depends on if the LNA is on or off and where the IF gain slider i...

Re: magnetic loop and pre-amp?
RSPs have a sensitive front end. A preamp should not be needed for casual listening. Are you saying you pick up no signals at all? Even in the AM and FM broadcast bands? If the antenna is indoors maybe it is close to a strong source of rf noise that is wiping out reception.

Re: Issue when switching on LNA
I live close to a few powerhouse AM and FM transmitters. One of these days I have to build some filters. I found I don't need the LNA below 25mhz. But when I do use the LNA for 10-11 meters I start to see images of the commercial FM signals.

Issue when switching on LNA
I have an RSP1. I don't use the RF AGC feature. When I enable LNA my IF gain reduction slider changes automatically. So I find I always have to manually slide it back where it was. Is it just me or do others find this annoying.
