Just guessing but maybe if u uncheck ''Enable Tuner AGC '' and try to adjust.

Re: LW-MW-SW Relay Tuned 15' Noise Reducing Vertical Antenna
Glovisol: You must be a fast reader and learner. To go through all of that material and come to a definitive conclusion so quickly, is simply amazing. Color me impressed. And I thought the IEEE was a respected organization. To top it off they have the gall to claim to have the top 38 out of 40 journ...

Re: LW-MW-SW Relay Tuned 15' Noise Reducing Vertical Antenna
Phil are you sure about this: n the real world the circuit would not work as a ground plane at all, as sdrom33 pointed out it doesn't even have one. I can see in Lankfort's schematic a very good ground plane - that 4 to 8 foot long copper coated earth ground - the best ground plane you can find with...

Phil: Sounds likes your modeling software might not be up to the task. Is it the freeware version? Or maybe a case of GIGO. I you get a chance take a look at this: Optimizing the Receiving Properties of Electrically Small HF Antennas by Steven R Best Link to pdf at IEEE Explore: https://www.google.c...

I don't own an RSP1A either, but here is a screenshot from the 1.31 Users Manual.
It can be found in the Options list in the Main panel.

Re: LW-MW-SW Relay Tuned 15' Noise Reducing Vertical Antenna
Phil: I think Lankford's 'noise reducing' design refers to the use of a 1) a ground rod at the antenna and 2) a balanced transmission line magnetically coupled at both ends. He uses this in several of his other designs. Some of his other stuff can be found here: https://www.okdxf.eu/index.php/techni...

Re: Audio stuttering despite low CPU
Using Windows resource monitor check the CPU usage of audiodg.exe. Here's a screenshot:
It should be showing very low or zero cpu usage, if it doesn't it could indicate driver or other problems.

And, by the way. I hope you don't have your XP machine connected to the internet.

This can happen when the executable's installation is corrupted by a disk write error or some other source of corruption (such as malware).

Re: Audio stuttering despite low CPU
I just found that the stuttering stops when running the laptop from its PSU ... This is suggestive of a power management issue. Even though PM is set to high performance there may be some settings that are still causing problems. You can experiment with these settings, On my laptop there are separa...
