Re: Spectran color gradient

Is it possible to share the color settings used in the gradient then? I like to have this set to all my sdr software this way as I find it the clearest for me to recognise signals

Spectran color gradient

Hi,

I would like to know what are the individual color settings for the gradient in the Spectran color setting.
Also interesting to know : Is it possible to edit existing color profiles ?

Thanks!

Re: Multicore and GPU's ?

The OS isn't of influence in this matter but my system is a I7 4790K with 16gb and windows 10 latest official stable released build. Using multiple threads is a different thing then actually deviding threads over multiple CPU's you need to somehow get all data that you spread over the CPU's back int...

Re: RA0SMS Miniwhip bad performance on SDRPlay

You could open the feed unit and measure the current where the fuse is placed with the Amp meter to get a first impression. If it is not within (estimated) 70 and 90 mA something is wrong in the antenna amplifier. 73, Heinrich The fuse is unfortunately a small component which I thought was a Diode ...

Re: RA0SMS Miniwhip bad performance on SDRPlay

Have you tried some basic fault-finding, such as checking whether the supply voltage is reaching the unit? Not exactly... I measured voltage out of the feed unit and when I soldered the cable i verified that it was properly conducting and had no shortcut. theoretically that should bring the voltage...

RA0SMS Miniwhip bad performance on SDRPlay

I recently bought a miniwhip in Russia to use on my RSP1 (http://ra0sms.blogspot.be/p/the-active-antenna-mini-whip-10-khz-30.html) This whip is a modified version of the PA0RDT miniwhip antenna and is supposed to be a relative good performer. A friend uses this same antenna on his RTL-SDR with upcon...

Re: Multicore and GPU's ?

I tried a similar test on my system: AMD FX-8350, 8 core running 4.1 GHz, 16 GB memory, W10 Pro x64. My results are different than df1ech. I cannot tell how SDRuno is working internally but I do see the thread count increasing as I start more and more receivers. I saw as many as 18 threads running....

Multicore and GPU's ?

Multicore multithreading cpu's like the Amd64X2, Intel Pentium D, Core2, I3/5/7 series have been around as consumer hardware since 2005. How is it possible with the above fact that software 11.5 years later still isn't taking advantage of multiple cores ? When Using multiple vfo's and waterfalls wit...
