Re: SDRplay questions

You have two options to remove a strong FM transmitter. The first option is built into the RSP1A - an FM band rejection filter. The second option for a specific frequency is a double tuned notch filter - this will give 60 dB rejection on one channel. The RSP1A would have to be the choice for your re...

RSP1 and 14 bit resolution

If I have read things correctly the RSP1A and RSP1 use the same Mirics chip and SDRPlay have "unlocked" a feature in to provide 14 bit ADC in sample rates of 6 MHz and below. Does that mean that the latest API and ExtIO will allow the RSP1 to run at 14 bits ADC at less than 6 MHz sample rate? Thanks...

Re: RSP1A and SDR#

I'm sorry to mention sdr# here... Anyway... I got a SDRplay RSP1 (blue and gray plastic box) in 2014 and I'm currently running it with srd# 1361 using ExtIo3.8.3 Don't apologise! I have the same set up and was about to post the same question. I must have bought my RSP1 in January 2015 - and ...

Re: Extreme narrow band

The most likely reason the signal appears as a hill rather than a peak is the resolution of the FFT display in the spectrum. Narrow band modes isn't my thing - I'm into FM DX-ing - but I did a bit of checking on v3. If you click on the View Tab and click on the Resolution icon in the toolbar that ap...

Re: Interference identification?

Interestingly the gaps in the frequency correspond to amateur radio bands plus a small guard band either side. - so someone is avoiding upsetting the amateur radio community :)

Re: SDRplay and SDR sharp

I am running a Windows 8.1 machine with build 1361. In my latest update I installed the EXTIO Plugins V1.0 which is showing as Build 4.0 ver1223 in SDRSharp. Everything is working fine -I was a bit worried about this latest release and contacted support at sdrplay for reassurance. It's also running ...

Re: SDRSharp Zoom FFT not working at all

Search the internet for "SDRSharp Build 1361" - you should find a link to a site that holds the software including some of the plug-ins. 1361 was the last build with a 'free' licence. SDRSharp got a lot of bad press for stopping support for every other sort of SDR - but look at it from another point...

SDRConsole version is out of date

Hi,

The version of SDR Console on the SDRPlay website is out of date - you need version 2729.

Re: RSP1 problems with new API/EXTIO

Thanks for the reply - I haven't worked out what went wrong the first time.

Then having successfully installed for SDR# - it was a simple case of copying the dll from the SDR# folder to the HDSDR folder.

Hopefully you will add my suggestions to the wish list

RSP1 problems with new API/EXTIO

Is there any way to run the new EXTIO plug in V1.0 - so that the RSP1 can be used with SDR# - ver 1361. If not, which I suspect is the case, as I got no joy when installing it - is there a way to have two APIs installed at once? I would at least like to keep up with the developments of the SDR Uno (...
