Re: tuning SDRuno via the MAIN SP window
Hi Joe With regard to 4.3, I can only confirm that this works for me as advertised. The only thing to emphasise here, is that I don't believe that it works unless the spectrum is "zoomed" as it says, otherwise, you get a yellow bar right across and it does not tune - first zoom then drag. I assume y...

Re: tuning SDRuno via the MAIN SP window
Hi Joe You can get quickly to the pretty comprehensive user manual by clicking on "options" in the main window then see: 4.3 The spectrum “quick browser” Sometimes in a spectrum window you need a high zoom factor and at the same time you need also to move quickly to another part of the spectrum; as ...

Re: Nothing But Noise on SDRUno
The direct frequency entry in SDRradio Console is quite straightforward - enter frequency in Mhz.Khz. However, I find that in general SDRUno meets my requirements better although Console does have some attractive features For my money the little 0's "agro" in SDRUno isn't too bad a price to pay for ...

Re: NDB reception
Hi Mike/Andy Thanks for your responses - I am in a rural location and apart from some "frying" that I believe emanates from overhead three-phase power lines, probably about 50M from my qth, things aren't that bad (I think) and unless ndb's are particularly weak signals, I would have expected to be a...

NDB reception
I am about to display my ignorance yet again - Whilst I receive excellent quality cw/morse code signals all over the HF bands and have two antennae connected to Port A (Active mini-whip) and long-wire to the Hi-Z port pf an RSP-2, that perform well in the 190khz and upwards range, I have been unable...

Re: RA0SMS active mini-whip power supply
Hi Jukka/Heinrich The active mini-whip coax is grounded at the antenna end via a ground-spike and via it's power adapter to the common in-house dedicated earth. Also, I must confess that on further checking there seems to be little CONSISTENT difference in signal quality between the two power suppli...

Re: RA0SMS active mini-whip power supply
Thanks for your interest Jukka Not as far as i am aware. Either psu is connected to the same, earthed socket and connected by barrel plug to the RF isolating transformer, which is also grounded to my common earth system which is connected to copper a rising cold-water main. this is the best option t...

Re: RA0SMS active mini-whip power supply
Hi Heinrich Thanks for the response. I do not know the brand (Regulated DC power supply with short circuit protection) - purchased quite a few years ago, but it did check out on spec. Neither psu appear to be "noise generators," but the 13.8V unit produces weaker signals than the 12V original, using...
