Re: Not at all impressed with sdrplay

Dear Enigma If you get a chance, please send a screen grab of your HDSDR spectral display along with the waterfall so we can see what you are seeing to: support@sdrplay.com Please also send a screen grab showing your ExtIO settings. In Low IF mode it should be architecturally impossible to get a DC ...

Re: Not at all impressed with sdrplay

Dear Enigma, What you are seeing is the effect of DC offsets in the I/Q signal paths. This is a function of the direct conversion architecture and will be present in all receivers using this architecture. This can largely be removed by applying post processing DC offset compensation. In HDSDR, make ...

Re: SDR# with SDRplay

Dear Sparks240,
The current ExtIO plugin that is used for HDSDR should work fine with v1361 of SDR#

Re: Antenna input socket

Hello Tomboy,
The antenna connector on the RSP is a standard SMA female connector and so the standard SMA male cable shown is the correct cable (or connector) for the RSP.

Sincerely

Re: unwanted images

Hello SDrlistener, These almost certainly result from external interference pickup from things like switched mode power supplies and other sources of electrical interference. There are two main routes that these can get to the RSP. The first and most common is via the USB ground. The second possible...

Re: SDR play and HDSDR

Dear MichaelKane, Unfortunately, we are not experts on HDSDR, so we don't know for certain whether the S-meter operates on the full signal or only the signal selected by HDSDR. It would seem logical that it ought to act only on the selected signal. What I can say is that we believe to get meaningful...

Re: SDR play and HDSDR

Hello MichaelKane, These two AGC loops don't interact directly, they are two separate loops. The AGC within the ExtIO window is used to ensure that the signal level at the IF output doesn't overload the ADCs. This particular AGC loop works on the entire composite signal power defined by the IF bandw...

Re: SDR# with SDRplay

Hello Dos,
All versions up to 1361 should be fully supported when using the ExtIO plugin.

Re: SDRplay frequency range

Dear Joerg, The RSP is not guaranteed to work above 2 GHz. Depending which software you are using, there may be limits imposed to prevent people from trying to use the device above 2 GHz. The ExtIO and native SDR sharp plugins have this limitation. We are not sure whether SDR console or Cubic SDR al...
